I was reading as much of this topic as I could, but I got tired of reading the same crap over and over about overlapping and force colors. Who really cares? Is that the only damn reason you guys hate the patch?
Think of the upsides: you have new text colors to choose from now, your name is a different color in the chat so people can distinguish you in games, you PC users now have the nice 3D icon that us Mac users have had forever, etc.
Its like the end of the world for you people because you can't do some overlaps or put colors in the forces. Is that all that matters to you? What about the content in the actual map itself? I admit I used overlaps in pretty much all of my maps, but I don't really care if ther're gone or not. The triggers and gameplay matter a lot more to me than what some schmo thinks about my forces when he joins one of my games.
To me, there is no logical arguement as to why you'd be dying to have force colors back. People will still play UMS despite the lack of force color because no one will have force colors and therefore they'd have to resort to playing any UMS map they want
[/sarcasm]. Hell, back before most (if not all) of you were map making, we had no colors to choose from so all of the forces were that same green color. And no one cared then. Now, since everyone will have the same monotonous green forces, again no one will care.
[/my two cents]

Im guessing they are doing this so they can release starcraft 2. Look at the new brood war icon, its more 3-dish

That's the Mac SC icon. Its not new, it just hasn't been seen by PC users.
