What's bad about saying 'I'm quitting Starcraft'?
You don't get paid to do it, but it's a perfectly valid statement.
It's like quitting drugs or quitting smoking (not the best comparisons); you don't get paid to do it. Quit isn't a 'I get paid' term only.
By the way, where can I install the idiot button?

Yes, quitting drugs is good. Also true, it's not an 'I get paid' term only. It's certainly possible to "quit" starcraft. It's just really really stupid. It's a game. The clans are another story though, yeah you can quit a clan.

I doubt solar was talking about the actual phrases used to express what solar is talking about. I think solar was talking more about the action of leaving sc and making a big deal about leaving, and then moments later coming back for a leisurely game of sc.

Yeah! Most people do come back! And I see all these people saying they're "quitting" starcraft. Usually what they mean is "I'm sick of starcraft right now" Note: Don't spend 5 hours a day playing, and it won't get boring near as fast. People seriously do spend that much time on sc daily!

I've quit SC 3 times, but usually when I really do quit, I don't announce it, I just disappear for half a year.
