Look I posted a bit earlier than the last post, that I could even believe in some sort of life out there but I really wouldn't expect that much as some people do. And true the Bible isn't that straight and that's not bad at all. I'm also open to alot of things even though I'd call myself christian. Still I can't believe that there is a 'higher' or 'better' (I don't say were good at all) lifeform than we are, because we are the main creation of god (that's what I believe).

Desperado stop with all this "newb" crapola. Ur just as new as they are, 82 posts isnt really that much. Though I dont see where this thing turned into "hacking." I know you hate hackers, but who hasnt hacked? I find the simple name spoofers ok i guess, but the hacks that let you win are lame.

Well, the purpose of this patch was to get rid of hacks and help WCG. Yet in doing so, they pretty much destroyed a lot of good UMS maps and already, hacks are back.

Ok I didn't read through all this. I've read the first 3 pages a few days ago. So actually my question is: Will Blizzard give us the ability to join overlapped maptitle games back again or is this disabled forever now? Because this isn't only like banning bounds from Battle.net also alot of other great maps can't be played anymore.

From what I read, I don't think so SK. I'm a little saddened about the bounds, but I don't really like them .

Now that's bad news. Really! Theres alot of good maps, not only bounds that you can't join like this

Also I just realized why you can't join games that have overlaps in the map title. Here is what Blizzard did: They programmed the StarCraft client, so that if a map is being shown by the Battle.net servers where something that is displayed in the games list (Creator's name, map title) with modified text, the client will not be able to join it. They also modified the game lobby (Forces, player names) so that modified text would not be read there either. It is impotant to understand that these things are intertwined. Disabling colors in one disables colors in the other. This was all an elaborate and very successful attempt to stop name spoofing.

Now, you may be asking, if map titles with modified text can't be joined, why is it only overlaps and not colors? The only explanation is that Blizzard realized that map colors are abundantly used, whereas overlaps in titles are only used in a handful of maps, less than 1% of the total played maps. Thus this shows Blizzard was in a position to royally freak all map makers over, and went out of their way not to. Instead of making virtually every map unplayable, they simply took out colors in forces. I think that you can agree this was the better move.

Let me repeat that: Blizzard could have made every map with colors in the title unplayable, but instead they got rid of forces colors. Be happy they did not choose the former.


Blizzard: It's high time we stopped name spoofers.
Employee: Well, we can either disable all games with colors in the map title. OR we can disable the use of colors and overlaps in the forces textboxes.
Blizzard: Hmm.. tough decision. The former would potentially disable every map in existence.
Employee: Yes sir. I think it's time we took the map makers' side for once.
Blizzard: Yep. We'll only disable forces colors and overlaps. Make it so.

It's extra easy to learn how to mod if you give me all your minerals.

Well as for my part as a christian I don't think that god would let his word be spread all over the world all wrong. Sure some might have got lost during time or got a wrong interpretation but if it is all wrong we can't be held responsible for what we did by him anymore because we read a pure lie. If he exists and I believe he does he couldn't let that happen really or we all deserve a free ticket to heaven (if there would be really big mistakes in it).

The Bible knew like over 1500 years before it even happened that gods peoples (the jews) will soon have their own state again (israel) it took until the mid 20th century for this to happen but the Bible knew this long before. I still trust it really.

And it also tells alot about whats happening there right now.

And that this war down there will sooner or later end in the Apocalypse or will be the start of it. As far as I got that there will be a new temple at the place where the old temple stands. The antichrist will build some sort of living, selfthinking, speaking, commanding 'Picture' 'Statue' of him there. Whoever will not follow it's rules can just expect the worst on earth. And as soon as this happens gods people will (as the Bible tells) see this sign and flee on the nearby mountains.

But this could happen now or in a thousand years. Even though I believe were close to the end. But there were christians a thousand years ago who thought that the apocalypse is near, but back then the gods peoples didn't even have their own state. Now most of the things the Bible told to happen happend. So it possibly could be.

Still I want to say everyone who reads the Bible will understand certain things different so I'm not saying I'm right with everything I just say what I believe in.

I believe that no matter what sins you perform during ur life u are always given a last chance to ask for forgiveness. This way God does not give up on neone it is they who give up on God
