Anything that is "private" can make their own rules; you, by joining their group, automatically lose rights in that area. The law can only extend to public facilities such as (non-private) schools.

That's why all those religious schools are private. tongue.gif

Umm I go to a Catholic church, but I'm more like pesbytarian or wutever the "normal" Christian is.

[my beliefs] I think sins are the things that bring you further from God. Soo... Sex isn't a sin. Suicide? I don't believe so... How is it auto trip to hell? God decides who goes to heaven or hell, not decided on the amount of sins. He decides if you can handle an eternity in a place where you cannot commit sins. If you can't handle it, hell (Separation from God, no torture involved) [/my belief]

Yesterday and the day before was so hot. It got to about 45 degrees with the humidex, it was supposed to be something around 36.

Moving this to miscellaneous since we aren't doing much except talking about the intense heat of where we are.

this is how i am i mean, you cant change anybody yourself,i started devoting my life on science at a young age,and when i learn that there is stuff out there that science cant tell us,i looked for something else that can answer to the stuff.and the reason i came toward to religion,is because to find forgivness for my sins and avoid hell and Satan himself
Report, edit, etc...Posted by CheeZe on 2006-08-03 at 23:10:48
So... you're religious because you're scared of hell and satan? And since when was "God did it" an answer to problems? dry.gif

You should try to form your topic better... Anyway, I believe that cloning is both a blessing and a curse. It can improve life for others (quite possibly save lives, etc. etc.) however it will also endanger the human gene pool. Why do I say that? The impurities of cloning will surely affect the future of the human race.

Why must we alter our natural code? Why must we make exact replications? Think about it. If we successfully clone human beings, two or more entities will be able to travel around spreading what nature did not intend, two or more copies of what was once considered "unique."

But as I said before, cloning can be a good thing, an otherwise healthy person could have monthly "check ups" that allow the doctors to clone healthy tissue for future use with their client(s) and the like.

she is right man,its a blessing and a curse, for a blessing effect, lets say you have a loved one that is sick and the doctors are aware of it,they can clone him/her before the sickness would come to effect.now for the curse effect, the world can be crowded and be a wasteful of resources for us to live on.if you want an example for the curse, read tuck everlasting if you never read it before

You cant really believe both unless you arent very religous, and your not sure what the difference between them is.  SO you believe that GOD created everything and that Evolution Created Human, even though GOD already did?

Many scientists do believe in some type of divine creator or something(and I'm not talking about creationists either).

well even if god wanted the world to be peaceful, there is still violence in the world which the church cant answer, but a book about tough questions on religion.and yes i'm trying to avoid hell and satan,do you know what happens to those evil greedy souls that been sent there?they get gnawed on.and for the satan creation which i believe that it was good for some reason that i don't know but what i thought was to keep all the evil souls out of heaven

There are 4 basic personality types. If you took psychology 1 back in hs, you'll know what I'm talking about. If not, nevermind this post.

All there is that one can really say about religion, is to just look at the primary personality type of people who believe in the universal ideaologies (Deism, Atheism, agnosticism) and then look at the primary personality type of people who believe in the non universal religions. (Christianity, Judaism, etc)

After you look at 50 or so people, you'll start noticing a trend.

Suppose, then, there is another religion. If you don't follow that one, you are sent a place worse than christianity's hell. Far worse, it's so bad that it cannot be described in words; if it were put into words, it would be unthinkable and uncomprehendable for our brains to begin to understand how terrible it was.

Would you rather follow this religion in fear of going to its "hell"?

People could techniqually call it a World War 3, becuase many different countries are fighting each other...

But its not on the vast scale the previous world wars were on.

I think many athiests think that you haft to follow every single rule right down to the very bones to be considered religious/etc. Now you may argue with me, but I have met some people at school who tell me "You didn't do this so your not a true christian". Well Im a Christian becuase I believe in God and Jesus, and I only worship them and Im in it for them. If you are in it for other Christians then you are going to be sadly dissappointed... If you follow the 'rules' right down to the detail then you are also going to be sadly dissappointed.

IM just wondering who believes the Big Bang Theory? Does this really go with GOD or Evolution, When I think of the Big Bang Theory I think that it is linked with Evolution and started everything. Like those two molecules (atoms) coming together to make the big bang, where did those molecules come from? Was there a before big bang that started molecules of cells?

QUOTE(Neiji @ Aug 3 2006, 01:44 PM)
But, remember. If God can make the Earth and everything from nothing, then making a woman from a rib should be child's play. But, it seems to be something the church made up to say that women are property of men and crap. It says in the BIble that women were made cuz men were lonely and needed something to "Play" with. XD

Sorry for going off topic but rather this is needed. Thats not what the "woman" was for. (notice also they weren't called adam and eve yet) The "Man" while naming the animals needed a "partner" to help name all the other animals so God seeing the man weiry then created the "woman" from his rib. That was the only time. And as for woman being property is not really all that true. Men were also property. Now to go back on topic.

As for suicide in other christianitys or all belive that suicide is wrong.

There is no way that you can call this a Third World War.

For a start, there's only one region involved...

It does look like an escalating war which could get out of control very quickly, especially if Mr. Nasrallah maintains his promise of firing long-range missiles at Tel-Aviv.
