Thats sounds like that would be but time is frozen their so everything you look at is virtually still so yes you would still see the person, you make a good point though, this is why people dont know that much about black holes and they open up such more to the unvierse and space!

woah woah woah, this just jumped out at me. I need to set the record straight.  Most of the scientists that believe in ID come from Discovery Institute, a place that gets gizilions of dollars from the rightcheous right to research objectively. guess how many scientists support ID there? 500. "wow thats alot!" No no its not. The AAAS, the largest association of scientists in the U.S., has 120,000 members, and they ALL firmly reject ID. Oh and theres more, lots more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scien...elligent_design
Where did I get this blasphemus liberal garbage?as neutral as it gets
If it wasnt for P.O.D. and their retarded forums, these ridiculous ideas wouldnt be so main stream.
now whats next on the list to debunk?

ADDITION:
A mod or sum1 needs to split this topic in half. 1 for philosophical debate and the other for science.

Your whole post was based on what scientists believe, If you read the topic title it is what you think about it, Not so worried about splitting this thread up into towo either, its all what everyone thinks and we discuss, we discuss the two together, Thats why it is asking DO you believe in GOD? not What do you think about GOD and what do scientists think about GOD?

The heatwave seems to be over in Boston, with temperatures in the 70s.

It was pretty bad earlier this week though, with brownouts and blackouts due to too many people running air conditioning. My house didn't have power for two days and the electric company had to buy us a new refrigerator because the brownout gave it only a tiny bit of power, causing it to try to run, but unsuccessfully, thus ruining it. smile.gif

Even though everyone is upset about this patch now with how it is messing up unit names, force names, and making maps unplayable with faster game speeds and overlapped map titles, it won't take very long until everyone has their maps and their favorite maps updated, and once that happens, I bet everyone will really like the new patch.

Killer_kow, that comment made me laugh.

A vast populuation of the World would strive to think up their best response TO THIS question, thus creating the momunital question of all time, Choice. You see the problem would be choice of whos was the best, Whos would decide the world's fate. Ergo a vast population would begin a fight, THEN creating THE END OF THE WORLD.

I think that you should have freedom of speech, but there is a such thing as too far. GOing on an American website and saying The U.S. should die and burn in hell. Isnt a good way to test your rights, But I think that freedom of speech is a great thing, but to an extent.

It would take not only vast amounts of money and resources, but also vast amounts of human lives. I can guarantee you that, despite all previous planning and preparing, human lives will be lost in the early stages of colonization. Even if there were no technical flaws, I don't think our bodies could adapt to the sudden change (from Earth to another planet) so quickly.

Think of all the possible things that could go wrong. It's mind-boggling.

I'm open to deep-space exploration, and I'm almost certain that there are other intelligent races somewhere out there. We can't be the only ones in all of existence who realize how totally screwed we are. tongue.gif

Besides all that, we haven't even worked out our own problems. We're still debating whether stem cell research is moral or not (things like that need to be worked out before we should consider colonizing other planets). And what if we do discover another intelligent species? What if they're smarter and stronger than us?

I'm not saying they'll think "Oh! Look, guys! Another intelligent species... let's kill them.... .... and laugh... LOL!", because I think they'd be just as interested in studying us as we would them. But, over time, things get old, and relationships are soured. What would happen if we somehow pissed them off? Their technology is superior to ours, and so we get pwned, 1337 style.

It's like we're walking around in a pitch black room, and we don't know what, or who, we will step on.

I was under the impression that this is false and does not apply to websites, since there are websites that express racial hatred that can not be closed down.

You have completely contradicted yourself. They say that freedom of speech does not apply to their privately owned website (fact) and you say that you thought this was wrong because privately owned websites can't be closed down no matter what they say. What are you trying to say?

I was trying to find a way to explain this in a really hostile way to make you understand how much of a mistake you've made, but for some reason it's really hard to tell someone they've contradicted themselves. I hope you are able to figure out how you contradicted yourself.

QUOTE
I think it should affect websites. I dont like racism and it should be spreaded in sites.

Yet another person contradicts himself.

QUOTE
I think private should be changed. Like you can not be interfered with the government if there is no racism, hatred, terrorism, etc.

And another.

QUOTE
But in a public website, such as major blogging websites and google I think you shouldn't have racism type writing allowed.

All websites are public. Google is a search engine.

QUOTE
I think that you should have freedom of speech, but there is a such thing as too far.

Going too far? You can say whatever you want. What you can't do is reasonaly suggest you will be causing physical pain to others, or do anything that causes physical harm to others.

Freedom of speech applies to all websites, public and private. That is, the government has no right to stop you from saying something on a website and if they try, it can be violating your First Amendment Rights.

But if you mean as to the owner of the website infringing on your speech rights, they can do almost anything they please as long as they cannot be proven to be discriminating by race or other sorts of illegal discrimination.
