Anyway, if you have more ideas for minigames post them so we can *cough* make fun of them *cough* see how they are and make inteligent suggestions. Anyway, just because you are away doesn't mean that you can't think out minigames.

Hmm.. Bumper balls... well.. you could have it that people are shuttles and are forced to go outside the arena.. and to "knock" people off, you drop a unit.. and if you're close enough to them.. they'll lose control of their unit for 1/2 second.. which can be very deadly if you don't have good reflexes.
You would randomize which way the unit gets pulled out of the arena every 15 seconds or so to make it interesting. You lose by of course, being pulled outside the arena area. The last one standing wins. wink.gif

What do you think??

Ya... thats a good way, but you should control it for longer becasue it takes a while to click on it.

I know I haven't posted in a while, there were real-life issues. But I'm back, and I've resumed work on this map. The 3 minigames are 99% complete, (just require testing), Beam Team and Yoshi Bombers have gotten an overhaul and they play much nicer now.

The third minigame, Crystal Chaos still needs some testing, but I think I got all the bugs out of it.

I've started work on Platform Peril and the item system.

WOOT! I fixed some errors in the map causing multiple minigames to run at once and infinite civillian spawning. pinch.gif Yoshi Bombers now has a 1 second delay between bomb placement and bomb detonation.

Right now I have 6/16 minigame ideas (not counting ones in this thread).

I desprately need 2v2 minigames though. (I'm finding it easiest to think of 3v1 minigames, then 4FFA, then 2v2.)

Well, there may be some screenshots soon (I had to scrap a minigame, and I'm now working on another one). However, I have made alot of progress on the Item system, and right now it's just copying triggers. I have to work around using waits because I'm suffering from the dreaded WAIT BLOCK problem... disgust.gif

Well, as much as I detest double posting... There isn't much VISUAL progress, but... under the hood... I finally got hyper triggers to work uberwoot.gif not only am I more motivated to finish this map, the item system and the minigames work without bugs now!!!!!

And ideas for 2v2 minigames, you can just have two teams have to do the same thing- the first one that does it wins. The are a few minigames with button smashing that kind of would work. You could have one where you need to pop a ballon. You could have one person be an infested terran and one person be a crossair. You have to alternate doing things (i.e. the infested terran blows up and then the other person has to cast distribution web, and that gives you 1 zergling in a "ballon" of christals or something.) But if one person goes twice in a row, you lose 5 zerglings or mabey are "stunned" for 5 seconds or something. It could get interesting and fun, and an okay simulation of button smashing smile.gif.

Item Selection: To use an Item, bring a Dark Templar to the marker on the end. The marker is labeled, depending on what Item it is.

Item Targeting: All players are then notified with a message in red. You can then choose what player to target the item on. (Note: Only one player is shown in this screenshot, Red, because I'm the only human player there.)

Item Targeting (2): You then bring your DT to the Templar Archives of that player. The item is then used, and your DT dies.

Exile: In this example, the item that was used was Exile, and it was used on player 1. Red's heroes are trapped over there until Exile's effect runs out.

The Amazing Race (2): Run with your Runner (Zergling) to the other side of the platform. Sunkens will constantly attack you, so if you take too long, you die. Dark Archons will just generally get in your way.
