“Beware of spyware. If you can, use the Firefox browser.”
“Better than Internet Explorer by leaps and bounds.”

Stop annoying popup ads in their tracks with Firefox's built in popup blocker.
View more than one web page in a single window with this time saving feature. Open links in the background so that they're ready for viewing when you're ready to read them.
Built with your security in mind, Firefox keeps your computer safe from malicious spyware by not loading harmful ActiveX controls. A comprehensive set of privacy tools keep your online activity your business.
Google Search is built right into the toolbar, and there is a plethora of other search tools including Smart Keywords (type "dict <word>" in the Location bar), and the new Find bar (which finds text as you type without covering up anything).
RSS integration lets you read the latest news headlines and read updates to your favorite sites that are syndicated.
Files you download are automatically saved to your Desktop so they're easy to find. Fewer prompts mean files download quicker.
Simple and intuitive, yet fully featured, Firefox has all the functions you're used to - Bookmarks, History, Full Screen, Text Zooming to make pages with small text easier to read, etc.
Firefox is the most customizable browser on the planet. Customize your toolbars to add additional buttons, install new Extensions that add new features, add new Themes to browse with style, and use the adaptive search system to allow you to search an infinite number of engines. Firefox is as big or small as you want.
At only 4.7MB (Windows), Firefox takes just a few minutes to download over a slow connection and seconds over a fast connection. The installer gets you set up quickly, and the new Easy Transition system imports all of your settings - Favorites, passwords and other data from Internet Explorer and other browsers - so you can start surfing right away.
Firefox comes with a standard set of developer tools including a powerful JavaScript and CSS error/warning console, and an optional Document Inspector that gives detailed insight about your pages.

The forum view: STOP ASSUMING WE HATE SCROLLING.  Two forums per row with no icon is plain ugly.  Buttons are from hell.  Stop hiding behind that screename Ip and show yourself.  5.0 needs work; you don't need to distance yourself from invision layout.

Well, your welcome. We're spending the time to make this for you, and you post some crap like this?

You know, I could of murdered you when you posted this in the advertising forum a while back. But I respect people that they try, so I say nothing. The forum layout will be optional. You do not speak for everyone here, I got complaints about too many forums. Don't like it? We'll make it an option.

UPDATE: Or maybe this too? Maybe you should practice what you preach? I'm sorry, but I'm rather offended when people post rude shit like this when I've worked 2 weeks on this and you can't show for anything remotely close for what we're doing here.

UPDATE 2: Maybe you should open your eyes and read before you open your mouth with garbage:
QUOTE(caption on forum index pic)
The new board index (still missing some key features) however as you can see has 2 forums per row. Making that page take up less space. Less scrolling!

Get that tree out of your ass and show some respect.

I can take and listen to criticism, however just plain insulting POSTING IN CAPS LIKE A NOOB and pretending you know whats best for everyone is what I don't appreciate.

You don't have to use firefox, it's just that firefox actually complies to .png standards as well as css and dom standards, it'll just look sexier with transparency.

IE is still usable...  although, I wish it not.  I had to make a hack so IE users can view the site without being disgusted.
Here's what happens if you force your IE browser to load firefox settings (via usercp):
[attachmentid=6443]

I was reading the msn blog for IE 7.0 and every non-noob was like "png, dom, css, js compliancy..."  (all the noobs were like "tabs!  add tabs!")

If IE 7.0 doesn't start complying to universal standards, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't this big revolt against IE users.  Everyone's just getting sick of hacking their own perfectly valid code to fit for IE.

When I made my own web page, I got so pissed off at IE I decided to make it so that no IE user could visit. I redirected them to a page that told them about all the negative things about IE (with some news links) and gave them a list of browsers that are far more superior and the links to the webpages of them. My page totally owned IE. smile.gif

Imagine the profits...

What profits? This won't be released anywhere, especially because I don't feel like coding the options for noobs who can't mod it for their needs themselves...
Plus, it'll be too personalized.

On another note, everything right now is only tentative except maybe the navigation header, and I spent 6 hours perfecting that (and there's still a little room for improvement perhaps).
You can expect every script to go through the same rigourous perfecting and testing before you're subjected to the new site.

SEN was designed for FF you know. All the screenshots were taken in FF that you see.

We'll do more browser testing for v5.

Designed for FF, but used by more IE users, and you'll never convert them all, if you added a message, saying you need that Browser to view the website correctly, people would either ignore it and come in, or go away.

Set it to work perfectly.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2005-03-18 at 13:14:55
Which is why, it will still be compatible and look good in IE. The only thing missing will be the transparent tables.

ADDITION:
When it was said
QUOTE
Overall features: Most of the site uses the same .png transparency used in the menu system, and firefox takes full advantage of this. Partial transparency makes the page look super sexy. I suggest a conversion of all IE users.

You guys took it too extremely. We're saying it looks BETTER in FF, but it doesn't mean we're going to ignore where the bulk of our visitors come from...

Post background things are not transparent, but just a black background... I'm guessing it will cause problems though...

But if you don't know how to make a image with 30% or less opacity, we'll just ban you from uploading post backgrounds...

Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2005-03-18 at 15:19:21
There will also be a preview area for the post background, plus a topic in creative forum to get someone else to do it for you if you don't know how. There will be absolutely no excuse to have a bad post background.

The only problem would be ignorance, and ignorance will be met with your ability to post new backgrounds, disabled.

We'll have a one click link which removes your current one, bans you from getting a new one, and PMs you of what happened.
