Why do a lot of people like Reagan??
He in my opinion was one of the worst presidents.

WHY?

Ronald Reagan was not a great president. He wasn't even a good president. He took from the poor to give to the rich. He cancelled student load programs for poor students to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest of the wealthy.

Only presidents i see much better than bush are: Both roosevelts, Washington, Jeferson, adams, lincoln.

Actaully, theres more to it then that. For a moment, just forget about being a Republican or a Democrat. Now, assess the situation logically. As a once previous president, a republican(who have been in control of the senate for a while now), a daddy with lots of power, and special friends in the higher ups, Bush won because he had all the cards, not because he's doing something right. In the end, I think out of both Kerry and Bush, we arent really getting what we should have as presidents. None of the dependable and reliable people ever run for president anymore =\ Its only the really power hungry ones now. And no one deny that, because it has been proven over and over again that that is the truth. Now, as for Bush actually being a 'good' president, I don't know. I've gone against many of his actions, and some, I've just viewed in indifference. I don't know, I don't like Kerry either. Personally, I think the generation of good presidents has passed us already. All I can do is hope for someone that might be enough of a political genius to return the U.S. to its former glory.

Hard to argue that Kennedy's advocation of that act was.... the right thing to do. it directly improved the lives of many oppressed Americans.

Even after JKF and Martin Luther kind's advocation of civil rights or w/e, it really didn't do too much to the society at first. Only like about 10 years later did ardent racism diminish. But yes that act did contribute to the diminuition of discrimination.

I don't like Truman, but at least he didn't trust Roosevelt's "ability to control Stalin." That would have turned out horribly.

What is Stalin?
