We have 2 map unprotectors so I don't think this would be a problem.

We need a bot for a channel? If yes recommend me one please.

Stealthbot works well if we want a bot, I'd offer to provide it, but my router sucks and dies once every 2 hours or so, so the bot probably would drop out of the channel a whole lot.
But what is our channel, anyway?

Thats why I asked for the bot. We have no channel yet. I don't know a lot about channel stuff. What we require for 24 hour ruining channel like op sen.

Fine. The MRS will fix protected maps as well. If the creators have objections (which will obviously mean that they are reachable), then the fixing of that particular map will be renounced.

As for the channel, I'm not familiar with bots, so I'll let you guys figure that out.

Our members grow in numbers so we can always try to find map creator. But even if we find one and he is not going to fix hes map we can get hes permission and fix it anyway.

As I said before, we cannot get op mrs as we won't be able to get the mrs account, last time I checked it was taken. (I checked earlier today), perhaps we could be op Mapresotration?

Great. So we have 24/7 channel. Maybe we should arrange special meetings. Like twice in a week. One could be by americas time and another a bit more by europe time. This is mainly because I have GMT+2. If I remember correctly then america has GMT-6. The europe time meeting could be at 3 pm by your time(11 pm by mine) and americas could be at 6 pm(2 am). Maybe monday and thursday could fit well.

In these meetings we could discuss new maps, test stuff and general MRS talk.

Hmm perhaps we should have at least one of the meetings on a weekend, that way when people start having to go back to school we will be able to always get to at least 1 meeting a week.

Weekend sounds good but not friday. Saturday could be good. friday is the the day I mostly get of school and hang out with friends, go to bar and get a good potion of beer or both. But saturday sounds very good.

- Will orginal credits be retained for the author.
- What credits will be given to yourself.
- What is defined as "Abandoned maps"

Anyway, I've read that tutorial of yours soon after it was posted as a new thread, and I feel that our efforts are justified. We are not map stealers, and I believe we have discussed that issue sufficiently. If we were map stealers, we wouldn't exactly be based at SEN and PM you for endorsement.

1. Yes, the original credits will be retained for the author.

2. After the Map Creator's credits, a line will be added saying "Fixed by the MRS", and if we get your endorsement, maybe a link to Staredit.net, or perhaps a subdomain "mrs.staredit.net", or something of that nature. Givent that the creator will usually include his name in the Briefing Mission Objectives or the Briefing itself, we will have a chance to include the notice. If the mapmaker included his name in the game but not in the Briefing, we will add both his name to the Briefing and the MRS notice.

3. An abandoned map is defined as a map with an unreachable creator. An unreachable creator means that no contact information can be found using Google, Yahoo, and MSN internet searches for the username of the author, or that the contact information is unusable (nonexistent email, 404 website), or that the author does not reply to an email of inquiry within 14 days.

O unprotection? How we can fix map without unprotecting them? Anyway you are probably pointing that we must fix only unprotected maps. Well, they are the same. They have their creators and creators of unprotected maps have the same rights as creators of protected maps. I will repeat 1 more time, we will not steal credits.

So basically you're giving yourself the right to modify my maps because I don't supply that contact information with them? I'd say I'm far from unreachable.

As UED77 said we will try to find creator.

Final word: We will only fix unprotected maps unless Yoshi's policies change.

You always try to find the author first. If you can't, then you are allowed to proceed if it is unprotected regardless. If it is protected, you must leave it the way it is. Alternately, you could remake the map from scrach. It wouldn't be too hard in most cases, and its always more fun to remake the classics.

When you fix up a few maps and submit them to our DLDB, and I verify you're doing a nice and speedy job, I will then consider giving you a forum. Contact me after you finish restoring like 3 maps.
