How are you supposed to read it? pinch.gif

I read it as basically, "do not make games already in existance, like NES or Atari games." So i was fine with that, but now I'd rather be more creative than that so I don't want to just mimic a game. Instead I'd rather judge.

You only lose points if two people make the same map in the contest I believe, so it doesn't matter if it already exists?(?). Calling dibs is stupid really, since if someone really wants to make a map, they'll do it.

I really don't care if everyone in the contest makes a tetris map. Matter of fact, I would be more than delighted to see all the different ways people tried to make the game.

Don't be discouraged if someone else is doing the same map as you. Just try harder to make a map they can't possibly top.

It may not be very creative but it certainly is a challange when you're trying to make the map closely resemble it's counterpart. Don't worry, you'll like my next contest. smile.gif

Ugh thanks a lot. You told me not to make Space Invaders, and I figured it was because you wanted BlizzSCUMS to do it. How nice of you.

EDIT:
And I've never seen an actual game of 2 player Space Invaders. Chu said it has to be close to the actual game as possible. pinch.gif

Will we get rating for how close the map is to the game? Or is it enought to just get the feel of the original game in the map?

Try reading the thread first and not using as many smilies. I already answered that question.

Unless sakuro actually finishe his project, which, as far as i know, he did not, the only bomberman maps out there i've seen are all based off of the bomberman 64 system. I want to make a map withthe old "cross" system

No, theats some crappy reminise where you use bombs to stop comps charging at you. You can still make realy player v player bomberman like the old game. I remeber when I was 7 I'd go over to friends house and spnd hours and hours playing bomberman tongue.gif

Changed the grading scale and added judges.

I don't care if you make a map based off a game that already has a map. tongue.gif Just make it better!

For starters is no dibs, anyone can make whatever. As chu stated he like see how many different ways people create maps, not in his exact words but close enough. So no dibs calling just make the map and lots of luck too you.

You 'enter' in with your map. The way 99.99% of all contests work.

Oh yes and semi-unpopular members can't be judges. You never mentioned that dry.gif

Space Invaders on Nintendo 64? First of all, it was originally made for Atari - thats the only reason I'm letting you do that one. Second of all, I've never heard of nor played the 64 version of it and you better not try to match that one. And finally, read the rules again.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by ShadowBrood on 2005-08-06 at 05:40:52
Actually Chu, Space Invader was originally in the arcade. It was later ported to Atari along with like 50 other arcade titles in the mass porting frenzy.

well, there is a 64 version, but ill base it off the atari version, if you were talking to me
