welll thats good atleast.. also play station and stuff like that dont send out new versions do they? unless they call it something else..
I think the X-Box 360 is pretty pointless. They're creating the same games for 360 and regular X-box, why pay $300-$400 for a little bit better graphics?
To wesmic: They are not wasting their time... you 2D lover.
To Khaos: What if you did something stupid?
no body's gonna do something stupid to an abox 360 upon release...

dont quote me on that

but besides that yeah

What are you smoking?
Sony and the PS2 did not have any major flaws upon release. The only problem they had was that on a few of the consols, that after 2 years or so of playing the system the eye to read the CD game would burn out. Sony NEVER had to put the PS1 or PS2 or the PSP on a recall. This is the second time that Microsoft had to do this for the Xbox and now the Xbox 360.Never said they had to recall, that wasn't our discussion at all, our discussion was about the PS2 having problems after release, which some did like you said in your latest post.
I know what was said but you made it like all of them had problems and that they had to go on recall.
that is helarious... See that is why ps3 is taking a longer time to come out. It is going to be soo much better and have much better games. See 360 the people i know who bought like it but its not worth its price.. See ps2 will be worth it, and i can't wait for it ^.^

go ps3!!11!!one!1
Sony is going to come out on top again. Let me give you guys that like Xbox and Microsoft a little history lesson... Back in the time when the PS2 came out, it was the best thing knowing the the the graphic bits were no long 64 as in the N"64" and the PS1, but they had doubled to 128. Microsoft wanted to join in and go against Sony and Nintendo were Nintendo was only the best at their handheld concols and Sony had always been the best when coming to the System concol itself. When the PS2 was released Microsoft had already started on the "supposed to be legendary" Xbox. Doing this would make them rush and have the feeling that once this was out then nothing could stop then due to they were the richest company and they couldn't lose. This will soon change when the days of all 3 systems were out in the hands of the consumers. The Nintendo GameCube was not even a problem that Sony nor Microsoft had to deal with. The graphics in the game had to be made into polygonistic shapes and they didn't suite the players needs. The PS2 came out on top. The Xbox came and then right after christmas, around their release date, they were called into recall for causing fires off of the power and audio/video cords. This put Sony at the top followed by Xbox and then by the GameCube. Now the same thing is happening with all 3 companies but Sony is bringing the "big guns" out on Nintendo and Microsoft. Microsoft is already on recall and Nintendo can only stay alive if they can have their users plug in their previous games from the DS and the gameboys. Sony will once again be the best and that will not change.
the only thing i care is that... xbox was the first to have x-box live.
just pay it once and you can play all the x-box games that have live.
Josh, I still don't see your argument on how PS2 was better than Xbox. So it came out first, whooptie-doo. Have you ever damaged your PS2? If you haven't, it's either because you treat it like a god, or because the dust on it is approaching three inches thick. The Xbox is stronger in endurance than the PS2, just behind the Gamecube, which was obviously built for portability. The Xbox had a recall on their power cords, but the PS2 had no such recall on their flimsy disk trays, which frequently broke. You claim, that since Xbox had a recall on the
cord, that PS2 automatically comes out 'on top'. PS2 had its share of recalls too, buddy. Such as the Japanese version which could play foreign DVDs (
#1,
#2). They recalled to fix that. Not so failproof on the first time eh?. How about when their Slimline PS2s' power supplies would overheat (
#1,
#2,
#3,
#4)? It seems the Xbox is not the only one to have power cord problems.
I'm not going to argue with polygons and processors, as I have naught the information on that subject, but your argument had hardly had any corroborative support backing it up.
honestly Xbox and PS2 were equal in alot of aspects, and the ones that wernt equal there was an equal ammount of bad things and good things for each system. In my opinion PS3 will be the best, then it'll be Rev, then 360(cuz they screwed it up so badly)
What are you talking about Xbox 360 is screwed up? This is just a rumor, about 90% in GameSpot said that their Xbox 360 is NOT broken.
Joshgt2 is just a major Sony Fany Boy. The 360 is not on recall. Most the people that were making claims didn't even have a 360 and were just throwing smoke because they didn't get one. Those that did complain and were legit seemed so huge and noticable because us that our 360's are working which is 95% or more of the 360 shipments are too busy enjoying our beautys to post online about that it works. The PS2 did have many a recall as showed by Kow. The chance of fire caused by microsofts powercords was maybe 2% out of them all but they still recalled all the powercords of consoles made before October of 2003. The PS2 did not win because it was superior but because it was out the gate first by a year and the 3rd party support. Polygonistic shapes Josh? WTF does that mean? The GameCube has a better processor and is easier to develop for than the PS2. Honestly if you knew anything Polygons are small dots that make up an object. The more the merrier, you can not have a polygonistic shape so stop pulling junk out of your trunk. The PS3 might cost 600 dollars, have no online support but from 3rd party that want to venture into it so how is that succesful, o yes lets not forget that it relies on SPI's instead of actually Processors but one which yes will make the graphics look pretty but does nothing in the order of AI or Physics. The Revolution will have its own chip just for Physics and its own custom graphics chip being built by IBM that centers around Cube Mapping. The PS3 may not be its all cracked out to be. So from now on Josh do not lie or be a fanboy it is very ugly and hurts your image. 360 and the Revolution console choices of the next generation. Also, Microsoft only barely dealt with nintendo as of now the Xbox has only outsold the Cube by I think 5 million consoles.
x-box 360 is a bad system, if you play for 8 hours straight (like i did) then it can screw it up, cause the next morning i went to play it the button turned red. so microsoft needs to fix this

the ac adaptor is frigin huge

And you people didn't believe me when I said that it is on recall... I told you they were havng problems after playing them too long.My friend brought his X-box over on friday and we practically played the whole day to beat halo 2 again on legendary. Nothing happened, it only occures to maybe, 5 in 100 X-box 360s. They are not recalling the X-box. If yours happens to be the 5 unlucky ones then your deal with it by going up to them.
Me and my buddies got drunk and played madden '06 all night and I left my PS2 on for probably close to 48 hours. I leave my PS2 on overnight a lot of times too, never had any problems.

Do you have the PS2 with the disk tray that slides in and out with the push of a botton? This PS2 can stay on for about 6-8 days without overheating and turning off. All you do is let it sit for about 1 hour and turn it back on.
I will say that the new PS2s can't be on as long as the old ones since they are much smaller. They can only last about 6 hours before they freeze. Then you let them cool for about 30 minutes and yu turn it back on for another 6 hours. Doesn't even hurt it.I've got an old school PS2, never been cleaned once or anything and I always leave it on stanby when it's off, I never have had a single problem.
Duh, the problem in the Xbox 360 core kind of gives it away. There are just no where heat can get out. I think i would choose PS3. Xbox 360 is overpriced...

I had friends that had to buy their PS2 every month because it keeps crashing, then later, he bought an xbox and it survived 2 years. I have never seen an arguement about the regular xbox being broken.
By the way, Xbox 360 is just like what Kaboom said and what I said earlier two times, Xbox 360 does
NOT happen to everybody, it usually happens to the small amount of people, they can easily just call Microsoft and get their Xbox 360 fixed or renewed.
Xbox 360 is overpriced? It is packing more hardware than most 1,000 dollar computers are right now yet that is overpriced? They are losing money on each console at the price they have it, yet it is overpriced. That is funny indeed. You can say the games besides Microsofts are overpriced now that is believeable but the system is not. As for whoever said the Xbox 360 has no ventilation holes that is jack. It has 5 ventlation areas. 2 on each side and then one on the right side or botton how ever you have it. If you sit it on a soft surface it will block the holes which will cause it to overheat. If you have a 360 then you can mention how it is crap or overpriced. Also Josh as I have said the 360 is not on recall. Kaboom and Krazy you two are smart. I would say only 5% tops of the 360's released have had legitment problems if that. Most the problems are probly caused by people not reading the instruction manual or placing the 360 in a poorly ventilated area. O it scratchs discs. Come to find out this is because people were dumb and decided to change the orientation of the console while a game was in.

HAHAHA And here is where Josh comes in... Xbox 360: 3.5 GHZ. PS3: 4.7 GHZ...
I think that we pack in more than just 1,000.
