Metroid Prime is one of my favorite experiences ever. There are many things to explore, and scan. There's a handful of puzzles that aren't too frustrating (ahem Zelda) and the graphics and audio are just... stunning. The art design is extremely polished, heck you can even see the rough drafts yourself. Finally, the creative design of the levels, whether it's the char-burnt world of Magmoor Caverns to the desolate Phendrana Drifts are just detailed. There's just so much detail, from each unique animal to effects like fog or snow on your visor that complete the experience.
Metroid Fusion drove me to finish the game through clever story playing. While I do admit it's getting cheesy that Samus JUST HAPPENS to lose all her gear in every game she's in, the story with the X parasites made up for it. For a gameboy advance game, the graphics and music, like prime are stunning.

I, personally, don't find Zelda puzzles difficult. It's usually layed out in a linear way, and most puzzles involve the most recent item you've recieved.

I'd say the games involving the Mario storyline are my favorite. I like Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island (not to be confused with Yoshi Story). I have a lot of fond memories of those games.
Super Smash Bros. series is a close second. I've been playing those for years.

I remember Yoshi's Story! I bought it and I was so psyched! I played it and beat it in 1/2 hour. What a waste of $50.

Like most disputes, it depends on the point of view. I've only beaten Metroid Prime and Fusion and I wouldn't say they puzzles are hard. Prime always tells you where to go and scanning it reveals clues. The artifact find was tricky though.
Fusion ALSO told you where to go. It even had a map to show you every room.
In Zelda, at least OoT, the water temple confused me with changing the water levels, grabbing all the keys, etc.
The Water Temple is arguably THE most difficult puzzle to date.

I can't believe that no one here said Starcraft 64...

Because SC64 sucked!

Starcraft 64 was for Nintendo, geez you guys are right Nintendo gets waaaaaaay ripped off including having Final Fantasy taken away, and then Blizzard Takes away starcraft? Nintendo is riduculous and stupid.

It was produced by Blizzard, but put on the Nintendo 64 platform.
I personally like the Zelda series the best, but when it comes to multiplayer, SSMB is THE best. I like the puzzle games like Zelda because I'm a cognitive person. I've been playing Zelda and Mario games since I was three or four with my first game being Tetris (Which I lost ). OoT is one of my favorite games to date, with SC and Maplestory the only ones topping it. It was so innovative, and had exellent graphics for its time. I'm so glad I got it on gamecube and can play master quest. Man, now I want to play zelda!
