I was thinking of some way to give hints on the storyline throughout the map. I think upon entering the warehouse or something you will come in contact with your compatriates and discuss escape plans. From there i think will make them head through the sewers in hopes of escaping from underground. The cutscene will include things like you mentioned.

Grr..i really need some trigger help, any1 interested? U'll get full credit if you help me with triggering. I will need extensive help because my maps always turn out quite glichy lol.

what kind of trigger help?

copying triggers to other players or just fixing them?

Right now i need help with the basic commencing and before hand triggers..

Copying for other players i can handle but gliche help will also be needed. Alot of the setting up for cut scenes and mini quest settup help too. Thats why i'm offering FULL CREDIT for this type of help..Because all and all they will be doing an equal ammount of work as me.

Wondering, can we kill NPC? I always wanted to do that in a horroris game, shoot damn npc n watch em bleed todeath.

Well, if i do allow NPC kills if they have an important role i will do the realistic thing and have mission failed for doing such things.

I think I am restarting this map with 5(U). Instead of having it a non-RE theme it will be along with completely new ideas. Me and 5(U) discussed it, and we felt that we wanted to make a map that dealt with a mix of an open city along with the horror scheme. Basicly grand theft auto meets resident evil. We have been coming up with idea's for missions. The game host will be able to decide if you do the Human campaign or the Undead campaign, basicly two different scenario's to choose from. From there u will have the option of what missions to do along with secret ones along the way. When you are not doing a mission players are allowed to walk through the city, with the exception of restricted area's that have to be unlocked through progression in missions, and once a player goes to a quest there will be a vote system... If 2/3s of the players want to do that quest then your team will be set to that quest. This idea for a RE map will be extreamly unique. True, it seems like we are getting rid of the horror but when the whole map takes place in the dark with a blinded unit i doubt it.

The Chaos System:
The chaos system takes place throughout the city. As you progress in the missions, more anarchy excists in the city you roam in. This mean later in the game you may have to fight random Carriers just to get to the upgrade bay, regardless of if your in a mission or not. The chaos system shows the length of time that the player has been in the city. Therefore, the two-month build up amoungst the bizarre murder cases in raccoon city will be turned into hell before you finish the map.

The new thread will be up sometime within the week. Please feel free to discuss ideas on this thread untill it is up.

sounds good also sounds kinda like resident evil. Btw on your screen shot it would be nice if you didnt add anymore blood stain marks or w/e... makes screen shot look kinda odd to me...

Ok so, let me get this straight: You are making like an open RPG of Resident Evil, like the Resident Evil: Open RPG, but better and not as open as it is more of an RPG more like maybe FF7, kind of, but not as strict so more like...Legends Open RPG?
Right, so its like Legends but RE. That sounds fun. What sounds....interesting, is your chaotic theory...

All I am forseeing is you having to fight zombies as you are running away to the heal station, and dying. =/ Not cool. And with this theory I can almost guarentee this is going to happen. Thats going to be very infuriating.....not to mention mega fun! w00t.gif

Good luck on this project, but I wonder, how are you going to do this theory? Randomize triggers? Wouldnt that make it too random though? Like: 2 months in (or whatever) and its really chaotic, and I send my character to location 1, and a horde of zombies spawn.....on the other side of the map...hmmmm

So depending on what missions were chosen and accomplished will decide what happends next.

Are you going to have character specific missions for people? Also, exactly how many players are in this game? 2 right? Are there going to be mini quests that you dont have to do but if you do you *may* get something really nice? (or get really screwed over by getting nothing or the person just says: 'good job'. You always have to have mini quests that give you a moral sense of victory, but nothing really concrete, so then people have to choose carefully on the mini quests they go on. Dude that is the coolest thing ever. Like im seroius its like make your own story XD or it changes like everytime you play it. Finally someone makes a good game. Good job dude comon finish this map cant wait to play it.

Well, Character wise we arn't to the stage of character developement yet, however once we get to that stage i will post about it. We were thinking 4 players would be suitable for this map. To answer your question about miniquests...YES! YES! YES! As one of the many things i look forward to doing is secret 'hidden' mini quests that you may find in an alleyway that you thought had nothing in it so you didn't bother to go into it. Also, there will be a special feature options to unlock other modes that will be released on the second edition of this map. (We want to release the full map before we go back in and make a new version for the special features).

One special feature we discussed:
5(U) and I discussed a feature which you unlock upon beating the game. This would devide the # of human players into 2 teams. One team would be the B.O.W, undead team, while the other would be S.T.A.R.S. They would then play against eachother in missions. These missions would be calculated by who wins what and at the end of the game whatever force whens the most missions wins. This would be a COMPLETELY original feature to include and would be hours upon hours of fun finding secrets to beating each mission. I plan on making the human vs. undead missions firmiliar to some events that have happend in previous RE games for capcom, this will be fun for big RE fanatics like myself.

Personally, this map doesn't seem as great as your Biohazzard map, But good luck with it, I enjoy horror maps.
