Ok so, let me get this straight: You are making like an open RPG of Resident Evil, like the Resident Evil: Open RPG, but better and not as open as it is more of an RPG more like maybe FF7, kind of, but not as strict so more like...Legends Open RPG?
Right, so its like Legends but RE. That sounds fun. What sounds....interesting, is your chaotic theory...
All I am forseeing is you having to fight zombies as you are running away to the heal station, and dying. =/ Not cool. And with this theory I can almost guarentee this is going to happen. Thats going to be very infuriating.....not to mention mega fun!
Good luck on this project, but I wonder, how are you going to do this theory? Randomize triggers? Wouldnt that make it too random though? Like: 2 months in (or whatever) and its really chaotic, and I send my character to location 1, and a horde of zombies spawn.....on the other side of the map...hmmmm
But then again I know absolutly nothing about randomizing triggers

Well what i thought i would do is depending on what missions are accomplished compute what needs to be destroyed or more infected in the city.
So depending on what missions were chosen and accomplished will decide what happends next.
