I'm not too familiar with U2, but I thought a couple of their songs were ok. "Beautiful Day" is one of them. However I didn't really like their songs from "How to dismantle an Atomic Bomb" album> songs like "veritgo" were ok to listen to once or twice, but afterwards I get sick of em.

My nuts...

You kids disgust me with your Three Day's Grace and crap...

It appears that like 50% of SEN has no idea what the hell music is, and just listen to what they "like" on the radio, and somehow tell me that Blink 182 and Sum 41 aren't pop. The rest of you like metal or rock.

Fine with me on both ends...just people are like "ZOMG THEYR SUH A GUD BANDD" when they listen to like 7 songs that are the same.

NIN > Anything you listen to.

NIN and Nirvana...are truly the only 'bands' that aren't as garbage as the rest of them.

As for this popish rock crap, I don't mind Nickelback. Plenty of bands I can tolerate, but you won't find me listening to them for fun, or having their single on my playlist and act like I give a freak about them because I heard their single on the radio and it wasn't as crapty as all the rest of the crap on there.

"x"

Hell, the rap is getting better than the rock on the radio now, this is sad, we need to look back to like '92 when it was like Vanilla Ice going up against "Rock" like Nirvana...xD

Don't get me wrong, I like rap sometimes, but I don't enjoy waking up to "DON'T THIS crap MAKE A african WANNA MOVE, DON'T THIS crap MAKE A african WANNA MOVE!!!!"

(That's a real song by the way. So is "MOVE female dog GET OUT THE WAY, GET OUT THE WAY female dog GET OUT THE WAY"...)

So yeah, most rock or metal is...decent, but I really only like NIN, Nirvana, and Pantera really hasn't dissapointed me.

Well, if you listen to radio rock then you can obviously say like me, nearly everything sounds the same, such as pop and hiphop/rap too. Therefore I am not listening to radio.

Come on, now, every1 has different taste. Some people like more mainstream pop-rock (i.e. Fall out boy, blink182 [anything past there first 2 albums that is], etc.)

IMO, Lamb of God would be better if the singer actually sung, and my head hurts after like 5 min of listening to As Palaces Burn, because they aren't very flexible in terms of music style. Slipknot... well, Iowa blew chunks, but the frist and third were decent.

And you shouldn't insult a band until you know them... U2's greatest is the stuff they did in the 80s, such as NOT Beautiful Day and Vertigo (although those are good, too)

And I never liked Nirvana very much; I only have their live album, and thats enough for me.

And noone commented on 3EB... they kick all of your bands out the window happy.gif

Allow me to rant...

O dear, you guys complain about new music being crap, processed garbage, thats been done before. Thats because anything creative/daring/or new isn't given a chance. You're all stuck on your morals and chained to your old bands "back in the days when gramps was a kid".

Try exploring the music industry past whats on tv and open your mind to some new styles. It's ok to risk being into a new band. Sure they haven't had the time to become as "legendary" as some bands you're describing but times change. Who knows what'll happen in 50 years. The "musical experience" could be somethng completely different so how could you compare?

Nowadays the music industry is such that most bands make it big by doing stuff that can be instantly related to - i.e. boring. But if they did something complicated it wouldn't be aired enough because of the competition, hence they don't get anywhere.

But there are some bands that are good out there. And they are being creative/daring bringing us something new and some of it bloody brilliant if you just stopped being so stubbern. Whats wrong with liking a bit of rap/rock/metal/indie they all take you to different places and express your feelings in different ways. Hell who am I to influence you lot, you'll do what you want, but you can't tall me that the generation before us is the only generation with talent. The tools have just changed, so it's time you people changed your views.

I respect bands today that are working from the bottom up without doing things the way they've been done before. i respect bands that play what they like playing no matter what the criticism. It's not a competition, its entertainment however you like it...

I'll shut up now, argue all you want.

- Biffy Clyro
(Creative is defined by these guys, you'll hear of them when people realise what they're doing.)
- The Refused
("The shape of punk to come" was a stupendously creative album, pitty they broke up these guys would've ruled)
- Hundred Reasons
(Not the biggest variety of sound but their sound is unique, his voice rules, they have stupendous tunings like C-F-C-F-C-F and I love them live! Pitty their new album has become too polished - it's because record labels dropped them because their sound wasn't accepted as much as it should, probably the reason most bands cahnge their sound)
- Muse
(can't say they do the same stuff or they're not talented)
- We are scientists
(amazing live)
- The Kooks
(Feel good music, nothing wrong with that!)
- Incubus
(Hell these guys are good. The only reason you won't like them is because you don't want to follow everyone else. They are well talented and create amazing songs)
- Funeral for a friend
(Great guitars and unique sound in my opinion)
- Arctic Monkeys
(I live where they are so I just follow em for that reason, hell who cares, its a claim to fame)

Crap this thing is long - Sorry if you had to read all this blink.gif

Lol, all you have is Unplugged in New York?

That's nothing like the rest of their stuff...

Don't get me wrong, it's good, one of my favorite albums too, but Bleach is pretty decent, and so is In Utero. People like Nevermind, and I guess who can't, but Bleach is one of their better ones. Never much for Incesticide, and thats the only other one I have.

Guys, quit female doging about whose music/music lists sux and whose doesn't. Everyone has their own personal music taste. Needless to say, you look like an idiot when you say crap like "OMFG YOUR LIST SUX."

Besides, have you guys forgotten what this thread is about? It's for music suggestion, not music criticism. Keep your negative comments about other people's lists to yourself; nobody wants to hear you female dog 24/7.
