Skills doesnt always score well with some people, It can add extra points if skills are done well, Which many people dont do. Like effects & stuff. It doesnt make much of a differents if you do or dont.

I imagine that anything fun and original would score well.

Here's something I've been wondering - the storyline. Clearly a good RPG should have dialogues in it, that are part of a bigger story. Will we score more if we made the story ourselves, or will it be as good to use someone else's story (for instance, Frank Herbert's "Dune") to base the RPG on?

In my opinion it more depends on how you use the story you choose, a well made map on an existing story will score a lot more than a poorly made map with it's own story.
Though, if there's two maps almost the same quality, the best story would win, i guess...

Ago, A proper rpg should have a hero & dialogues but over the years of sc become more n more hack'n'slash less dialogues. Of course should score pretty high as sicarul said, how well you put story togetter in map and present it. I seen some yucky books been made into maps.
