Okay, we all know that Manning and Brady are both great quarterbacks. At this stage it is basically who or what team you like better to think which one is better. Ex- PS3, Wii, XBOX 360, they are basically all great and high performance but I think the PS3 is better because i like it more. -/Ex Just like I think Brady is better because I like the Patriots. But I think that both quarterbacks are awesome.
I honestly think Manning is on a WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL than Brady. Brady hasn't done anything CLOSE to Manning, and he is hardly the leader Manning is.
And Manning is more marketable too
(Caps for emphasis)
Okay, bringing you back to what I said. That is your opinion and mine is that Brady is better. Yes Manning may be a better leader mostly because of his years over Brady. Brady has done very well, Manning may be at his prime and Brady has it made for himself!
They are opinions, but would you like to compare the numbers?
Numbers are nothing. Okay! Ex- PS2 owned the XBOX in numbers! -/Ex. Ex- PS3 owns XBOX 360 and Wii in numbers. -/Ex. Number dont mean a whole lot. If you want to talk about number lets go with the number of super bowl winnings. 3 out of 4 for Brady. Can Manning say that?
You forgot these numbers
Release dates, price.
And where have you been this whole arguement. Did you miss the whole part where we talked about how winning a superbowl is a team accomplishment, and you are giving more credit to Brady just for being on a better team..? It's not Peyton Manning's fault that his defense was bad throughout his career...
Ya I was gone. But I read part of it. I agree as a team the Patriots are better. But an awesome team still cant do anything with a bad quarterback.
QUOTE(Deathawk @ Nov 22 2006, 12:48 PM)
Brady doesn't do much that a normal quarterback doesn't do, IMO. But Peyton, he does run the offense, much like coach.

Brady reads defenses at the line of scrimmage as well as call plays in the last 2 minutes of the game like peyton.

Manning hasnt won any superbowls how can you say he hasnt done anything close to manning. Brady leads his team down the field like manning does in the games.
New england fans like brady cuzhe brought us 3 superbowls. other people like manning cuz hes on those gay commercials cuz he is a homo that sells him self.

It's not Bradys fault he lost his two best recievers but, he still is winning games.
That brings up a good point where all those commercials have Peyton Manning saying dumb stuff. Yes maybe someone is giving him loads of money to do it. But really does a quarterback not get enough money?

So does every other quarterback...
BECAUSE WINNING A SUPERBOWL IS A TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENT, AND WE ARE COMPARING TWO INDIVIDUALS. If you want to compare the Colts to the Patriots, then that is a different story.
I haven't said Manning ran the ranked #1 offense because there are other factors, such as his wide recievers, runningbacks, etc. But being ranked #1 in passing, even though there are other factors, he mainly controls this.
Uhh, the marketing part was a joke, but... Try people like Manning because right now he is the best quarterback in the NFL?
Correction, his TEAM is still winning games. BTW, congrats on beating up on novice teams like the Packers
Uhh, they give him money to make commercials, which in turn make the companies make money. I don't see the problem with it. I also think the commercials are funny..
Especially when he tries talking about if you like quarterbacks that are 6'1"; rocket, lazer arm. I think he should have a mustache like that!

The Colts lost to a novice team. Dallas. It really doesn't matter what you do in the regular season to the point that you just have to do well enought to make the playoffs. Then it's any body's game. The Colts haven't won when it mattered. The Patriots have. The whole reason the teams play is to win superbowls.
THe Colts choke when the game is on the line. The Patriots have the players who play good underpresure. Like Tom Brady and when they had Adam Vinatieri ( The best clutch kicker). When the game was on the line they came through for there team. If the Patriots didnt have Tom Brady or Adam Vinatier they would have never won a superbowl.
I totally agree, I wish that Vinatieri had gotten the MVP award the year that he kicked it for the win against the Dolphins in the snow, and also kicked a long one for the win in the superbowl. WIthout those we wouldnt have gotten to the superbowl or even win it if we did get there.
Best clutch kicker? Says who? This is what you guys do, he wins you three games, so magically he's the best clutch kicker ~.~ As if you guys even know every kicker that's played.
I think it was Oakland that he kicked that in that snow. But he sucks now with the Colts. I was pissed when i heard that he went to the Colts. There like rivals with the Patriots them and the Jets.
ADDITION:
Name a better clutch kicker then.

Well their may have been some better than him but for his time yes he was the best kicker. On the Madden NFL game he was the only kicker that had 99 stats and he also had 99 as a field goal and a kicker.

How do you determine who is more clutch than others..?
Yes, he kicked in Oakland in the snow.
He is definately not the most talented kicker. He's not the most accurate, and he definately doesn't have the strongest leg =\
LOL, 7-7, MADDEN? I'm not going to even continue. =\

from wikipedia:
Adam Matthew Vinatieri (born December 28, 1972 in Yankton, South Dakota) is a American football placekicker currently playing for the Indianapolis Colts. He is best known for his tenure with the New England Patriots from 1996 to 2005, during which he played in four Super Bowls, winning three of them.
Vinatieri is generally considered the best clutch kicker in the history of the National Football League. Nicknamed "Iceman" for his incredible poise, Vinatieri has converted several of the most pressurized field goals in NFL history. With his impressive professional resumé, many football analysts believe that Vinatieri will eventually land in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a realm typically unfriendly to placekickers (only one pure placekicker, Jan Stenerud, is currently enshrined)

LOL, Deathhawk here we go again. It doesn't mean anything that the three games he won were Super Bowls does it? I'll quote from Wikipedia:
QUOTE
To date, Vinatieri has kicked 19 game-winning field goals with less than one minute remaining (out of 20 attempts; his lone miss came in 1999), including those mentioned in the postseason. At the conclusion of the 2005 season, he had a career field goal percentage of 81.9 percent (263/321), fifth highest in NFL history. His career long is 57 yards.
Would that change your mind?

He has the fifth highest accuracy percent in the history of the NFL, he kicked a 57 yard field goal which is pretty damn long, and he is clutch.

Hey, hey hey, all of yhou don't jump on me. I never said he wasn't clutch. I never said he wasn't the most clutch, but people like 22-22 call him the best clutch kicker without even knowing half of them. That's called being ignorant =\ I don't say Nintendo has the best games when I've never played Sony's, do I? -_-
Just so you guys know, I think he is one of the most clutch players, but to call him the best clutch kicker... how do you compare that stuff.. you don't really, you just know he's clutch.. and how do you know he's better than anybody else, ti's not like you know every other kicker.
Well yes this whole thing is about opinions anyways, in this case it was true because he is generally known as the best kicker in the NFL.
The Patriots beat the bear. The game was pretty funny to whatch. When Brady deak the bears player was really funny. I did think Brady new how to deak. The Bears player most have thought he was going to go down. He like whatch Brady do it. There was alot of turnovers in the game. When Watson got hit and the ball popped up like 20 feet. It was wired. The Patriots have no team in there schedule that can beat them. They will be 13-3. The Pats will be going to the Playoffs and proble the superbowl.
Best kicker in the NFL? Says who? LOL, I've said already he definately doesn't have the best leg in the NFL, there are stronger kickers and in my opinion generally more accurate kickers.
Uh, this was like the first team they beat that was over .500.. seriously, stop being a fanboy, nobody likes your ignorance and arrogance.
Yes right now he may be losing his touch but when he was on the patriots the past couple years he was at his prime. He kicked many long ones for the game. He has one of the strongest and most accurate. You dont have to have the strongest leg and the most accurate. Its just the combination of the two make him the best. Ex- Someone could kick farther but not as accurate. And someone could be more accurate and not very strong. This is why he is so good, he is good on both.
