Yeah, I can see how you see that, but actually, the little bar on the top is just a folder. All you have to do is take a folder and drag it to the top of the screen and it creates a little bar like that 
With the little button on the bottom left though, it does look like gnome, although this button is the start menu still

Thats not so gnome-y, theres not enough brown and footprints.

I actually meant the combination of the background and the start bar. It looks just like Kubuntu's default. I should've said KDE-y.
