Do we have proof that they didn't?
K, well this is pretty stupid. About it not being able to occur in 1969, what was really different then? The only thing we have now that they did not is computers and I'm sure they could've done without. That site of yours, I just skimmed everything and nothing seemed like it couldn't have a possible reason why.
Also, unless you can disprove there are footprints left on the moon from where the astronauts stepped you really don't have an argument.
Actually, there were computers back then; they just didn't have the kind of processing power that today's computers have. Also, they did use computers for some calculations related to the Apollo mission.

Yes, I know there were computers but they were extremely primitive and I'm sure they didn't play nearly 1 millionth the role in society back then than they do today.
Extremely primitive? Besides computers, I'd say aerospacial technology did not develope one bit since the World War II.

Well strangely enough were talking about 20+ years after ww2. Man obviously had gotten into space before they went on the appollo missions so what is your point in saying that?
No. Aerospacial technology did not advance so greatly since the world war II. The only thing that stalled the U.S. from launching humans into space is the bureaucratical cause and the ruckus caused by its idea.
They had enough research in WWII to actually launch into space if they were able to collect resource and build a space ship within a year. Which then, is obviously impossible. Thus 20 years was added from the World War II.
Let's just wait for the Speed of Light going to Mars, and nobody could say that would be fake.
