Enhanced by AzNxRaVeR

This is on the bottom of each of the pages, same place "Time is now:" is on the SEN pages. If you all noticed, the submitter of the maps were all AzNxRaVeR as well. Is he the admin of the site? If so, what he's done was pretty sad and pathetic: download all the maps from SEN and upload them to his own site so people will go there and be wowed by the massive amount of maps. If he's not the admin, then he's obviously trying to get credit for Most Submissions.

However, there's another thing I noticed: their download section didn't have a Creator slot to begin with! Pretty thoughtless coding, yes, but branding the entire site itself "Stealer"? Come on, if we brand all stupid people in the world with the word "Idiot", we'd all die before reaching every last one of them. -.-; Yes, it's PRETTY sad, but there are other factors affecting those, to put it subtly, stupid, people. From their parents to their first formal school educations to the media that has been de-brain-ifying children since they were born with shows like Teletubies and Barney (if you live in the U.S. you know what I'm talking about), these people really couldn't really... well, HELP being stupid.

Ergo, the moral of the story is, never donate to PBS (also, only if you live in crazy ol' U. S. A.).

No, the real moral is, Yoshi (or SOMEONE, I'm not doing it), just tell IcyHell to add a "Creator" slot.

Carelessness and thoughtlessness do not equal stupidity... and if they do... I'll be a pretty stupid idiot. biggrin.gif

I just got banned so I'll stop spamming, but it is wrong that they were leeching off SEN, and that was so annoying how his reply was that he was "think of it as mirroring" its unbelievable how annoying he is. But i do see the point of the other agument, we really cant complain if the maps were downloaded off battlenet but they weren't they were wrongfully taken off SEN.

Its true. We can't do anything about battle.net downloads, and actually, theres nothing wrong with that. But 400 of my maps were downloaded and copied with no credit for what I did.

He is the admin. Hes trying to make his site popular by leeching off other websites' seccess rather than get his own damn idea and make a site. It was never "enhanced" by him, he didn't even touch it (only add his name).

The real creator of the script is bfarber, and I am by far the biggest beta tester of his great script. I truely do edit it.

I'm not planning on going back there. My work there is finished. The map making community knows now that hes a stealing prick. End of story GG.

Okay, I had to remove their URL. People are still at it, sending in spambots and now their whole forum is filled with spam (looking at the news page, they're quite proud of the spam they got from us).

Why don't we have the dowloads section open for only members? that will at least lessen the theft rate. And we could also start using map protectors for finished projects

So your suggesting map downloads should only be for map makers.. yeah that makes sense....

What is a nickname anyways?

I did spam IceyHells, but to tell you the truth it was just for the hell(no pun intended) of it, not because any of the people crying here. No they aren't stealing your map just because they didn't put your name in big letters next to the DL. They are helping your community if nothing else by getting your maps out in the first place.

It's funny some people in the (U) clan were crying over the fact there would be a map bot released... because people could spread hacked maps faster. I don't know what kinda fuked up logic you guys are using but hacked or not hacked it's still being spread at the same rate... it will also be played regardless of whether or not it has your god damn name on it.

There is this thing called survival of the fittest, and it's at work on battle.net. However I do admit verage battle.net player mentality is not capable of making this system work to efficently, the maps you make if they are good, will be played.

Now quit your crying or you might trigger the release of my map unprotector.

No. Everything on this site is free to download without an account. I'd be no better then they are.

Don't feel special like you're the only one. MANY people did it. Its not helping the community by taking already posted content and putting it on your site. It stops progress by encouraging "vultures" in the community to randomly grab content whenever they please. Those sites never get anywhere in the community.

I hope hes not planning on getting big, because the bigger sites in the community are AGAINST this. Don't bull censored.gif me about how this helps me, you don't run this site, and you probaly never will, but EVERY map is checked for quality and integrity. If he can't think of his own damn ideas, well thats just sad.

You just picked the wrong guy to threaten. I'm not going to be blackmailed into doing things by people telling me they'll release unprotectors. Besides, if you release an unprotector, I'll be sure to take it, hex a different name in (or make it editible!) and relase again.

You're likely from them crying about what happened. Well, I warned them. I regret having to post their site, because they are overconfident people that can't think for themselves without me leading them.

Don't feel special? Funny thing is I don't, however I am the only one who made a dent.. 10k members in less than a day. It hurts you by people stealing content, it doesn't hurt the starcraft community because they are getting their maps from multiple sources. If they never get anywhere, why are you concerned in the first place?

Uh O, too bad my blackmail was simply asking you and everyone else to stop crying. Are those conditions really that tought to meet? Unfortunately it appears this site attracts ego centric people that you find nowhere else.. But about a map unprotector.. considering it is open source, compiled on execution, its a PHP script.. I encourage you to try and hex it happy.gif

They have like zero security. Downloading a spambot and doing things like that doesn't make you special, its just a download on the internet and away you go! Considering I didn't ask you to spam them, don't think you have my respect or anything.

No ones crying here. Plus, theres not many communities that allow unprotection anyway. Plus, you have to have a lot of time on your hands to make a unprotector in PHP. I didn't even think it possible.

I don't really see whats wrong about having downloads open only for members. It isnt like you are being as low as those people stealing your maps. But in a way, it is a stupid idea. All you have to do is become a member, and that wont prevent anybody from stealing.

Just start using map protectors on your finished maps and put your name in it

I don't like registrations. Its annoying for those who just want the maps, and don't want to deal with the sign up stuff. I don't like going to sites and doing a lengthy registration process if im only there to download a couple of things.

Respect for Yoshi is quickly deteriorating, so if I care if you have respect for me irrelivant. Besides serveral times now I never did it for SEN, I did it to check out the security of their forms. However the reasons behind this whole thing have gotten on my nerves.

I made the spam with php as well, no download required. You would be surprised what php can do.

Don't lose respect for me. I'll admit you have more respect from me then some other people, and its obvious their boards don't have much security (Deathknight could of told me that happy.gif).

Eh. Lets just drop this subject.

I got a few things to say on this subject.
1:Sadly, there isnt a way to stop this from happening, once someone puts it on their computer, we can't stop them from using it.
2:My opinion is that people should get into the habit of putting their name in the maps, and protecting their maps w/PROedit (not the protector w/in starforge, I've found sites w/ programs to get past those).

This one goes to Yoshi_da_Sniper,
3:I told you that they copied your site exactly and you said it was okay confused.gif ?
Then why is this just now coming up as a surprise?

Everything that went down was perfectly legal, and not too many 15 year olds could afford to prosue a court case, not to mention lose one. No DOS or brute attacks took place, and besides I live in Afganistan as word has it! Additionally, AznXraver was praising the attacks until he choked on his words.

Nobody requested me to do anything, nor were the comments here at SEN enough to get me to do anything.

It's still hacking a website that you do not have ownership of.

I might do some reading on the matter later.

Hacking? All we did was go into his install directory and use the power of php and censored.gif . You call that hacking? Signing up for a website isn't hacking, so you can sign up 20 users a second all night. Installing a new message board isn't hacking, so we installed it for him.
