More people voted for Gore in 2000, yet Bush still won. So how is it that simple?

It's called the electoral college. But this time Bush won popular vote and the electoral college. Thats how it's simple

and saddam was the biggest terror of the middle east

I thought Osama was the biggest terror in the Middle East...isn't he the reason we started all this terror business?

No censored.gif . Your original point was that Bush won because more people voted for him. I proved that wasn't always the case.

Nice spam. Way to show how smart you are in a serious discussion.
QUOTE
1) I'd prefer a Monkey Looking Man to run as president over a man whose head looks like a l)ick
2) I like Bush personality wise alot better than Kerry. Maybe not his policies but definately character.
3) Bush is Republican, Kerry is Democratic. Democrats are going to totally change our values in America. They will promote stuff like Gay Marriage.
4) I preferred a man who always sticks and follows one idea and path over one who changes and contradicts himself.
5) Bush is Texan, just like me.
6) You'll never know what our country will end up like with Kerry. He might deteriorate our country more than what Bush did.
7) I knew Bush would win so i wanted him to win.
8) Kerry's Daughter looks ugly but Bush's Daughters are damn hot

1. Maybe you're a bit deformed, but mine doesn't really look like Kerry. tongue.gif
2. What personality did he convey? He spouted evangelical stuff most of the time.
3. Democrats try to help the less fortnate. Republicans help the over-fortunate. So yeah, democrats want to change our "values" by helping those in need. I have many gay friends and all are much better people than my straight friends. They deserve better than being looked down upon.
4. Kerry contradicted himself once, and admitted it - plus he said he voted for the war because he was lied to by the government. Did they find weapons of mass destruction? No. Also, Cheney contradicted himself many times in his debate with Edwards, and ignored it.
5. ...wtf?
6. True, but Kerry had a plan to end the very thing that is making Bush ruin our country. So on the other hand, he could have been the best president we've ever seen.
7. I knew he would win, too. Thanks, Diebold.
8. Kerry has 2 daughters. Bush's daughters are air-headed alcoholics. They really have their family values in order.

Nice. Next time learn to spell and use grammar. Care to back this up with anything? I suppose I can by mentioning Cheney's debate and Bush's obsession with WMD. But that only proves they are liars. Hmm...

Obviously enough people thought that he was a better choice then Kerry.

No, Osama may've helped him (indirectly) with his tape bein' released days be the election. Fear is Bush' best ally... disgust.gif

He drove away most of the usual allies of the U.S. with this s..tty war over Iraq without U.N.'s approval. bleh.gif
Why not Iran? They keep developin' nuclear tech and nothing was done 'bout it! confused.gif

Altough I've just joined the debate, not going 2 go by at all over again. 4 instance Cheese's and Devlin's points of view are valid 2 me, through most of the debating issues that appeared.
Also N.Simpsons links (post #43) made gave a few laughs (with it's satirical remarks). Nice find. wink.gif

I personally think that Bush sucks. That war is going nowhere. USA is not gonna win it. The arabs continue attacking them, they kill 2 soldiers here, 4 there, and they wont stop. What can bush do? If he kills everybody the country dies, and that's not good for him. If he doesn't then they would win the war. Also, USA its getting enemies with that. Not too much contries aprove that war. Now Bush is hated by everybody except most of americans *coughidiotscough*, and that war is gonna make USA lose lot of respect and money.

Yes, he openly stated he was gonna put a draft on us. And if you read that with an outburst, Im being sarcastic. Hes already stated severals times that hes not gonna start up the draft again. Kerry has said the same thing.

Bush went into the war with far less than the "several hundred thousand troops" one of his generals said would be required to occupy Iraq. The future is unpredictable, but the draft wont be likely for quite a while.

Unless we get to the point where we are losing too many men for so little gain, thats where the prospect of reinstating the draft might come in. Either that, or we'll have to leave Iraq like so many people have wanted.

YES! Bush and kerry both said no to the draft. But i also saw on tv that drafting people would be a stupid idea because technology has advanced so much that it would take about a year to train the drafted. So instead of drafting, the army said that they would increase the benefits of joining. THat way people would want to join the army!
Im from cali, and i am happy that bush won. If kerry was president, we would all be lost. didnt you see the debate... No to war...wait...yes..no...yes..no! We would be lost....

I saw all 3 debates. And in all 3 debates, I saw Kerry woop a lot of ass. He didn't "flip-flop" as you crazy Republicans call it. He said he was for the war, but not in the way that Bush went ahead with it. He knew we'd need an exit plan seeing as how things went wrong.

3000 In 1 day just from the terror attacks

1-2k in a 2 year war... hows it add up? And these troops choose to be in the military, so you cant even say they were forced!

Kerry's number one word used: "But"
As in, forget everything i just said, listen to this...

Tax breaks on companies gives the companies more money. Thus making them able to hire more workers/ pay workers higher wages, giving americans jobs, raising the economy, giving the middle and lower classes more pocket money, in turn, they spend more.

When Clinton went into office, the economy was rising. It started to fall... when he got out of the presidency and bush jr got in, economy was on the downfall. Then 9/11 happened. That KILLED the economy. Both bush AND Clinton knew about the terrorist, so i wont say that just clinton could do anyting about it...

Now Bush has the economy up way past what it was when he was elected, possibly past what his father had it at.

It doesn't, that is the point. Why are over 1000 soldiers dying in a war that has nothing to do with 9/11 and the "3000 in 1 day?"

Please tell me why we attacked Iraq instead of Afganistan? I didn't see any weapons of mass destruction. Did you? Now that Saddam is gone the country is crazy. At least Saddam had everything in order. He wasn't doing it the right way...sure.. But, now we have these idiots that dont want us in their doing suicide after suicide mission killing killing killing...BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT US IN THEIR!! In conclusion, this war is going nowhere.

ADDITION: Also, Bush thinks he can do whatever he won. Even though HALF the country voted for him. And his Cocky ass thinks he won by all the votes.!! OH GOD WHY IS HE OUR PRESIDENT Tic tacs could be a better presedent. At least you get minty fresh breath

Actually we did attack Afghanistan, their democracy is supposedly working seeing as how they just elected a president. But yeah, I get your point. Why'd we go immediately into Iraq after not catching Osama?

And I just remembered this one thing I saw on flip-flopping. If Kerry is the flip-flopper and not Bush, then how come Bush kept saying that Osama was the primary subject of the war on terror and then later said Osama is not important at all anymore (then going on to say Iraq was the real terrorist nation)? That is a lot worse than anything Kerry might have changed his mind on.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by mobomojo on 2004-11-06 at 16:27:44
Why is the American society (or at least a nice portion of it + the Bush campaign oommittee) so concerned with Kerry's so-called flip-flopping? People can change their minds. If theyre only changing their minds just to agree with people, thats flip-flopping, but when its to meet with the circumstances, then thats understandable.

And then you have thet opposite, where you have a firm stance on something. Good that Bush sticks to one thing, bad that that one thing might be a mistake.

Actually, as we've pointed out, Clinton did lower the national debt as he said he would do. And still you don't prove your point. Politicians listen to the people (especially the ones with money) or else they would never gain popularity.
