Same here, my mom argues that I'm quite lazy because if I did 30 mins of homework 3 times a week that is a lot.

I don't get much homework but when I do I try to do it in the classes that don't matter, or I just copy the homework during the class before.

My homework consists mainly of Math, english and soem geography or science. Its very easy and the worst grade I have gotten is a C+ in typing (i suck at it) but im fine cause I just turned in my missing asignments.

I get occasionally a vocab to copy in science adn about 2-3 times a week math homework which i do in 1st period anyway (the period before it.)
I like going to school, but i just wished that they taught on an individual basis.

The way they work is that you do a packet at your own pace, as long as you get X number of pages done in a week/day.
Half the time you can work together, so you can have someone do half and you do the other half and be done twice as fast.
Overall its a great teaching method.

But public schools today are like: Theres a retard in my class so i must stay at a level that he/she can understand, screw the smart/learned ones!

In math we are still reviewing, and we work on somethign that COULD take us 1-2 days in like 1-2 weeks! Its bull . I've alread learned what we are doing! TEACH me somthing I dont know!

Yea thats what are teacher is doing ing review for the stupid retarded kids, REVIEW and more REVIEW she wont stop ith it its like learning addition again and again and again and even some idiots in my class cant do addtion that well.

At my school(Private and with scholarship, in the public schools the kids threaten you with a knife at you or show you a gun) the teachers say:

-"No I don't understand what you said."

School isnt too much of a pain in the Ass. My GPA is like a 3.4502 which is pretty decent i guess since im in many Honors Classes

Well that's cuz im taking AP classes which are harder. And besides, our school doesnt do class ranks by GPA, we do it by Academic Averages.

How it works: It's on a 5.0 scale. If you lets say got a 98 in U.S. History, then it would be a 4.8, if you got a 92 it would be 4.2, 86 would be 3.6, 70 would be 2.0 and 69 or below would be 0. And if you are in an AP class, you would just add 1.0 to your Academic average. So my AA would be a 4.5010

school sucks and its only there so the parents can get rid of there kids.

my school is super strict they dont allow anything. if ur 1 or 2 mins late u get 2 detentions if ur a hour or longer late without a note u get 1 week of detentions

School does not suck. I repeat I DO NOT hate school. However, the homework is EVIL, EVIL I TELL YOU! It sucks away time that could be spent reading that huge encyclopedia, finishing that map for SEN, or just anything else fun. The schoolwork is mostly a different story, but sometimes, THEY'RE EVIL. AND I DON'T TRUST EVIL THINGS SO EASILY. Really, sometimes, I want to stab my homework with a knife and burn it with a flamethrower. I've even bitten my math notebook and math textbook. So in my opinion, homework stinks, GAMES FOREVER!

Do you think they can make a educational game that is violent and fun with good graphics and for the pc?

But most video games make your brain work better. Say youre driving a car. If you stop concentrating you will screw up. And strategy games like starcraft are good to.

i do, you have to go on a life saving mission to save albert einstein, while killing pre-nazis, going into castles, and then when you find him, he explains on how he could have escaped using these formulas and what was in his room, you kill him and leave the castle, and continue saving people like that like hooked on phonics, but different and not like it

School is okay but should not be required. Then all of the people that don't go will be stupid. By the laws of nature, the strong live and the weak die off. All of the stupid people would not make it in life.

My school does suck. Out school was make to hold 600 students. We hold over 1000. We have Our school is over 140% full. Many of the people in my highschool are @ $ $ l-l 0 l_ e $. One of the teachers dosen't give kids homework and thinks she did the next day so she gives everyone a zero.

I wish terrorists would blow up my school on Saturday. I don't want my friends and those few on the level teacher's to die.

Educational games such as "Hooked on Phonics: Escape from ABC Castle" are great. My friend's mom was so happy when my friend's brother said: "Mother, can I please inflict excruciating pain on my friend and annaihalate him?" She raised his allowance and then took it away for a year after he tortured and killed his friend. Games and TV shows that are educational and fun are the best. Violence+Education=Vilocation. Vilocational games own those crappy kids shows like Teletubbies, Barney, Max & Ruby, Stripper Ela, Blue's Clues, The Wiggles, and many more.

Homework is from hell. It wastes another 5 hours of my day. That is why I only have time to play Starcraft during the summer and why Castles and Farms is going so slow. Mt participation used to be over 50%. Now it has dropped to 35% or even less.

A lot of people at my school are racist. I always hear Jew, n*****, black, white trash, cracker, etc. Btw, why do they censor the n-word but not cracker on TV? Both words are racist. Is it because white people are always regarded as the predtor or the bad guy? There is a fight almost every day because of some smart-mouthed moron who spouts more racist things than a Southen congressman during the civil war.

School is messed up. If you fight someone before you reach your house, no matter how far away it is, it counts as on school grounds, but you can drink and smoke on the nearest block to the school and no one can do anyhing about it. I can fight someon in Canada and it will count as on school grounds (I live in New Jersey). The police don't even ask students about their age or ID who are plainly underage and drinking or smoking.

What is the world coming to?

not all schools make learning seem good, my old school made learning horrible and i see kids droping out of each class each day

I see how well they taught you spelling.... and sentence formation... "each class each day"? It sound better with "Each class every day"

The way the school system is set up, would have worked in the 1940's, but now it's out dated. Kids today are too independent, and are expected to unquestioningly obey everything a teacher says, just because they're the teacher. Imagine an Anarchist school system that would theoretically work quite well.

I can honestly say that I haven't learned a single thing from school. That's nine years, nine years and I didn't learn anything. The only good that comes of school is what it does for your social life. I wouldn't have met any of my friends if it were not for school.
