I think it might be interesting to go through a dark hole, as chances are you won't feel pain (even though chances are you are going to be stretched into a lot of light-years). Other then that, it might lead to other universes, it might just be a sun sort of thing with massive gravatic force, or it might be something else altogether.

Chances are if you go into a black hole, you'll die

You would be sucked into the black hole at near light speeds. Because of the inmense speeds and as Einstein said in his theory of space-time, time would be passing so slow relative to you, that it would actually take 14 days before he gravitational pull exerted on you is so great that you'd die.
This is possible if you had a suficient amount of air and food to live through 14 days getting sucked into a black hole.
Black holes are more of a "dent" in the curvature of space than just a small dot in which everything gets sucked in. The larger the gravitational force, the bigger the "dent" in the curvature of space is.
I recently saw the PBS Nova 3 hour long series on "The Elegant Universe" which talked about and explained string theory, general relativity, and quantum mechanics. It's interesting to see how things get messed up when trying to calculate things with black holes when using general relativity or quantum mechanics because the two don't "mix". Also the visual representation of the black hole with the big dent in spacetime fabric was interesting.
nice facts there light, but have you heard of those "super black holes" which they found out wasn't black holes because they found one in EACH galaxy AND in the center do you have any facts on that; i would really like to know about that?

Google it. I've never heard of them before so I can bet that most people here haven't either. (unless I'm dead wrong...) It could just be something you've been told by someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Or it could be that 'dark matter' or something that I heard about a LONG time ago... dunno.
Dark Matter exists.... I just don't remember in what though...

I'm pretty sure it they're real because there have been reports that galaxys rotate as well plus i think i remember hearing about this when one of steven hawkings thoeries was proven wrong about black holes.
Well duh, lol. Steven Hawkings is an idiot. He thinks he is a smart guy, but hell, if a theory he makes get's proven wrong, doesn't that mean something......?
im not saying he is smart im just saying that this topic of the gigantic gravity pull in the center of each galaxy was talked about.

well, yes, it means that he had an idea that sounded good, but realy wasn't. like.....the new h2 and h3, someone thought they were a good idea, but they weren't....but anyway..... why cant black holes be actual holes?
( i swaer if someone tells me that they already awnserd this and to read the posts BEFORE asking questions....im gunna HE MAN BITCH SLAP THEM!!!!)
No one knows if black holes are actual holes, and we will probably never know cause we cant see it for all we know it might actually be pink with unicorn designs on it.

this si true. but as i read this topic all the way thru, i realized tat gorotsuki was always asking is the black hole theori could mean that there is an actual hole. but then he got shot down...then someone booted him for somereason..anyway it could be a hole...it could be a hole....
It was never shot down, because it was never explained fully, nor discussed.

yes, yes it was. go back and read what he said then see what everyone els said, you will see that he was shot donw....and it was discussed. just, go back and read...its ok, its not against any rules to go back and read....you might even open your mond and think of something else to say than you diss my poor grammer and the like.
all i know is that it has a great amount of gravity so its probably very dense and with the theories going about them all we need to know (if we ever have the technology to move that kind of distance) is DONT GO NEAR THEM!!!

I never dissed your poor grammar, it's just more helpful for others if it's easier to read what you are trying to say. And yes I have read it, what he actually said wasn't really discussed or shot down.
And if it was shotdown, want to quote a post that says so?
in order to do that i would have to quote every post from when he started talking to when he got booted. and from what i hear tell, thats called spamming. so just get a little motivated and go back and read it yourself. I NO LONGER WANT TO FIGHT WITH YOU. DO NOT POST ON HOW YOU WERE RIGHT OR HOW YOU DID GO BACK AND READ IT AND FIND THAT YOU DIDN'T SHOOT HIM DOWN. THIS IS THE END OF THE FIGHT!
think of this. what if space was like an ocean. and all a black hole is is a hole in the bottom of the ocean. where dose it go?
well when you say it like that i have no clue maybe THE NEGATIVE ZONE OF THE UNIVERSE where people bend backwards and apples eat people. Anyways the theory right now is that the black hole has a center where everything ends up that is sucked in and condenses (if this has already been discussed im sorry)
then it could be a hole that leads to somewhere other than to a massive clump of gravity.....hmmm...someone can think outside the box!
Then that brings along the theory that Black Holes could be the gateways to Wormholes

they verywell could be. or they could be a passage to the star wars part of the universe...
but didnt the movie say it happened a long time ago?

plus i dont think youll survive long enough to get to the portal since the gravity is so strong it would stretch your body after 14 days of course ouch
streach? i thought is compressed?
whatever

Black holes are singularities, a point of infinite density, and technically cannot exist. Although so,ething may come very close to being a black hole, it is not becuase it would take an infinite amount of time for a singularity to form.
Singularities in black holes are masked by event horizons.
Black holes are not like what people imagine. If a black hole opened up where our sun is, pluto might not even feel the effect, depending on the size of the hole. Black holes have no effect beyond their event horizons.
Black holes can radiate with Hawking radiation, it was to do with antiparticles, I believe. So they arent black after all.
