Great.. I'm sure he left without a word because he didn't want to deal with drama, and you're all complaining.

Synd][cate didn't do anything to SEN that he didn't do to those who were hated by SEN (he actually tried to rectify the problem at the end you know... actually no you don't since that little bit of info was lost in DK et al. calling him "gay" and threatening him in comical images that everybody got a good laugh out of...).

Besides, he is very good at security. I bet of all the people here at SEN he could probably be the most knowledgeable about it (or, at least, one of the most knowledgeable).

Also, what can he possibly do to cause harm to the website? Honestly, why would he care about getting the emails and password *hashes* of a ton some random website members of which topic he's not even a participant of? I highly doubt has enough cause to damage some random website for the second time (not to mention the fact that the first one was semi-accidental).

If you ask, I GUARANTEE you won't get it, and besides, they found replacements for most of the positions.

And if you don't believe me... well, as long as Yoshi was around, I would never of gotten the chance to be a mod. I don't want to be a mod on here anymore because I have all but quit SEN.


Ya, he hacked into SEN's database once and took it down for 3 or more days. That was almost a year ago, and he got banned for it.

Yoshi is gone again? I'm getting to used to this, those of us old enough to remember TD would know that when someone leaves it isn't always goodbye, but you never grudge, you give respect and wish them goodluck whatever they do.

SEN isn't failing because some staff members have lost, they'll reshuffle and be the same as ever, it isn't like the whole site revolved around Yoshi. Don't get so emotional. Damn kids.

Dude SEN is probably the best site for starcraft map making, you think anyone would really want to leave? some people probably got their comps crashed or internet cut off but whatever it is I'll still read this site everyday!

anyways all this panic happens with everything when the person who created it or the Main Man leaves the scene and people don't think it won't go on without him.

The thung about syndicate is I don't think he's really malicious, i think he hacks SEN just to see if he can do it/ for the kicks. Him working on v5 is actually a good idea, from what I've seen, he's probably one of the best PHP programmers on the site. I'm sure the only bad result would be (perhaps) a few "easter eggs".

And they would most likely be hilarious.

No, he exploited a flaw in the forum soft that allowed him to get the database, which he did. Only to find out that he had nothing to do with the database. What happened afterwards isn't very clear but the database ended up being deleted. Yoshi could have easily used a back-up within hours but didn't because it was around the time he was thinking about quitting so he just didn't bother. Instead, everybody just blamed everything on Synd][cate (i.e. "destroying the website" even though it was technically Yoshi's choice to pull the plug). Synd][cate actually tried uploading it back on again but the server kept re-setting (something about the connection).

How are you knowledable about this incident over a year ago, were you involved?

Synd][cate is a good choice. When he hacked SEN, it was a good thing. I failed to realize the learning experience at the time.

...but he didn't "take it down for 3 days" either. Once again, it could have been restored and he actually tried to do it only Yoshi decided to "leave the community". That's how IP became the administrator (because Yoshi no longer wanted to be it).

In fact, DK was making cartoons about how Synd][cate was gay (and how you could kill him and how he's a loser etc... all sorts of comments ensued) and so on. So, really, everybody hated him.

Did he or did he not temporarilly shut the site down?

What more can you do to SEN's site to make it better, I think everything would be just extra unneeded junk.
