I don't think progress is going at all on my comic.

How do you guys make such cool ones?

This is my creative process:

I sort of mentally "fill out an order", like the kind of order at a restaurant. I'll think "I need an idea for comics related to SEN in about a week's time".

Eventually, one strikes me.


This is my creative process for just about everything (few exceptions). I just fill out the order and wait. My mind comes up with something along the desired stipulations.

same here, think to myself "need a SEN comic... needs to be funny...somewhat..."

then i think of a somewhat funny statement in a few days, then i work around it, with that statement as the root

i use photoshop, polygonal lasso, make a shape, then fill with a color

Here's a better creative process.

Step 1) Vodka
Step 2) Run into a wall
Step 3) Rinse and repeat

This is how I get all my wacky schemes and sexy ideas. Today I substituted head for elbow and wall for floor and payed dearly, don't mess with the system dudes.

Here's what I do.

1) Think about your comic. Find a good idea, line, ect, and build on it. Write all your idea's down, so you don't forget.

2) Sketch your drawing. Think stick figures, just to get the basic comic plot.

3) Draw it, find a good model and use it as a reference.

*4) Ink an understandable outline, erase the pencil, scan.

*5) Color, ect, in Flash and Photoshop.

^6) Draw with a Graphics Tablet.

* Only if you inted to make a colored-on-the-computer comic.

^ Only if you have a Graphics Tablet and draw straight onto a computer.
