A kid who was properly parented wouldn't disobey his parents rules, even if he isn't at his parents house?

But then again, that'd be almost too perfect of a kid -_-

yeah, besides, if he is just scared of the punishment he will most liekly play at his frind's hose. but if their parents will explain why it's bad, then maybe everything will be different.

no, my class is doing debates and this was one of the topics today but they didnt have any proof for their facts so i wont mention any of them smile.gif

i think the parents should do their jobs and filter their kids violent stufffs, but isnt that the ESRB's job?

No, the ESRB's job is to inform parents what kind of material is in the game, it's the parent's responsibility to make sure their children are playing appropriate games.

Music doesn’t affect much, it might affect feelings. [Star wars is a good example. Try watching that on mute =/] Parents are responsible to watch what they buy, if they don’t like it then don’t buy it. I can’t even get a “Slipknot” cd for example, You have to be 18, If a parent goes out and buys a cd and doesn’t even look at it or anything, then when the he or she hears the song and trips out about it and complains to the manager or who ever, Its her or his fault, not the managers.

They corrupt our minds, sure they are fun but stil what they do is trigger our brain to thinking that violence is ok. I was reading an article, i forgot the URL but it said some grade a student started to play conterstrike like non stop, then he didn't pass a test and he stabbed his teacher with a pen. <-- true story.

How the hell can music corrupt out minds? Think about it. Also I’d like to see proof about the teacher story.

Zombie, don't be like a detective wink.gif that's possible

about music.

listen to rap & death metal (if you can understand the words in death metal)
that's an call for violence.

people who like those music types think that they're cool, so if a parer says in his song "& i shot him" (<- like i heard + the shot sound) then the rap fan will think it's cool to shoot

the microregion where i live is splitted into 2 parts: the usual one & the "old" one.

it's not pritty safe after 11:00 pm in the old one, rapers walk around there with basebal bats & with knifes & that thing (dunno how it's called) that you put on your fist to make the hit more poweful. they can easyly **** you just cuz u were walking near by their "territory"

in a city in my country there were huge fights punks & some skinheads VS rapers.

all listed above is corrupting our minds with music

I believe music more then games for some reason.

You can't deny the trend that many emo/goth/punk kids listen to angry music or rock music.

While gangsta hood wtf hax hommies like rap.

There are many people including myself who like everything and I am in the middle.

But there are definate trends that should be taken into account.

IMO it depends if you are easily influenced or not.
You can take stuff in from games and music in a bad way or not have them affect you at all.

Glad I am the latter.
That's why parents are supposed to check if the content is appropriate for the minor to see if they can handle what is inside.
And of course if you are 18 or older you should be able to control your own self. You are after all supposed to be completely legitimate.
