QUOTE(Kellimus Reborn)
Ever heard of adoption?

@ Doodan's statement: I don't think so.. I grew up around Mormons, and they never spoke of that O.o...

Evidently, yes. The chances of getting adopted aren't that good.

QUOTE(Kellimus Reborn)
This isn't Oliver Twist.

The foods better and the government is better. What other differences are there that effect the child?

People in orphanages rarely rise in life, due to a poor education. Don't tell me you'd have a wonderful life if you were a janitor all your life. Please.

QUOTE(Kellimus Reborn)
Sperm is not alive.

But it can lead to life.

QUOTE(daddy)
Castrating is BEFORE the fetus has life, abortion is the fetus had already started growing.

It's no more different then a regular cell in intelligence. It's brain is working but it has no sentience to speak of and is not aware of it's surroundings. 'Oh noez, I killed a cold!'

QUOTE(daddy)
omg your not reading my posts. The fetus is LIFE, it has already started growing, you are killing that life. But castrating yourself is not killing a fetus becuase they fetus isn't even there.

Fetus is life, as is a sperm, an egg, or a zygote! What's the difference? By castrating yourself you're denying a zygote life, which in turn denies the baby life!
When you kill a baby it's brain cares because of instinct (which probably isn't developed), not because of semi-sentient thought. It's just like any other organism doesn't want to die.

QUOTE(shadow_killa_04)
Abortion I think is fine but it needs tight restrictions and punishments.

If a teen gets pregnant and has an abortion she has learned nothing except the fact that she can can get away with it. There needs to be some way of her to "suffer" for what she did so she won't do it again.

One of the main arguments is when is something alive. Whether something that is microscopic/close to in a womb alive or not is really oppinion. I personaly don't know though when I would classify something a living or not.

Well, you have a point, but why not just charge for the abortion? Isn't that what they do anyway?

QUOTE
It's an imaginary conflict of interests between the mother and the unborn fetus.

Fetuses are not sentient. They have neither interests nor rights.

QUOTE
To me, if it has cells and can grows, its life.

When you get a cold, your body's immunity system kills thousands of cells which ARE alive. So, we must all die the instant we get colds.

Has no one read my post? Does anyone care about my opinion? No? Alright.

yes, but those things will never grow into a human. A human fetus grows into a human.

You kill a human fetus, your killing a human in my mind.

Mind responding to all my opinions? I would say I countered a lot of what you said.

Cause I don't know what the fark you have to say and I could care less. Bring your whole post down to ONLY thesis and no commentary.

Yah, now show me the excess of commentary on my part.

If you can't respond, don't belittle it.

A sperm may grow into a human, yet you wouldn't call it muder if I killed a sperm.

There are some that would. As I've already said, there are some people that think birth control of any kind is murder. I think that's crazy.

But in the eyes of the law, killing sperm (which billions of sperm die from ejaculations that don't lead to pregnancy) is not illegal.

Fetus's have no cognitive ability meaning they can't think, plus the bible states that a human being has blood, which a fetus does not have for a couple weeks. Plus, if there's something wrong with the baby, such as tay-sachs or duchene muscle distrophy (Both cause death early on), it would save the child and yourself a lot of trouble by aborting it.

Isnt there just one state who declared abortion to be illegal?

I think it was South Dakota, but the story's not over yet.

Bush and others might take it to the supreme court. And now that Sandra Day O'connor, who happened to be the swing vote in the Roe vs Wade Decision, is replaced by a hardcore conservative, who'll be more than likely to vote against abortion (John Roberts would probably have the same stance as rehinquist) it's very possible that that court case would be overturned.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2006-03-08 at 11:08:39
Exactly. If Roe v. Wade is overturned, more states will pass laws banning abortion. Kansas first, I bet.

I should say, that there are so called "mothers" who get pregnant in 14 & give birth at 15. What kind of parent is taht ?! She is a child herself ! Ok, maybe she made a mistake, we're all human, but there are still 9 months to correct that mistake.

On the other hand, it's a living person, allthow a human (after birth) lives some time on pure instincts. Only after some time "personality begins". So abourting might be understood as murder of future, or potential personality.
