Ness was OK in the first one, but now he plain out sucks. He's just too hard to use.
Jigglypuff rocks in Melee. I can beat all of my friends as Jigglypuff. Plus, you don't have to use the jump to save yourself all the time. The side + B attack sends you farther to the side than it does down. You can move across whole arenas using that and one jump.

Jigglypuff takes a bit of playing to get used to. It's because he sucked a lot in the first one that nobody uses him.
I like Marth because of ranged melee. Really freaking long attacks and down+A in the air doesn't have that delay like many other characters.

Ness is hella strong. He still has his three moves to get you back on the field, and he is really, really, really strong if you know how to use him correctly.
I would kill your Jigglypuff with Roy. Roy is one of the strongest characters if used right. His shield break technique has like, three different "ending" moves: A fast straight sword attack like link, a power hit, and an uppercut hit. His flame uppercut is really good because it stuns opponents for a tiny amount of time, and if you do it right, you can use his regular B move to hit them again. His B move is the strongest move in the game if you hit them right before he explodes. You can usually hit 80ish % with that, if not even more. And his counter move is pretty strong, too. And you can usually hit people right after you do it, too.
God I want to play SSBM now.

I can never get anyone with that B attack, but I don't play as Roy much. But w/e.

Only problem is with fast tappers, Jigglypuff's one hit KO is faster than Roy's.

Good news everyone Ice Climbers are no longer in the game (They sucked) and Ridley, Bowser Jr. and Cel Shaded link are in!
Mr.GameandWatch is also out, another horrible character, and Young link is being replaced with Celda (That's short version of Cel Shaded Link...).
