I have tons of gay friends, and they mostly meet guys at clubs (gay clubs, mind you) and at theme parks (or some other highly public area). If you're shy, though, hopefully you can attract those fortunate men with "gaydar" and let them do all the work.

Do you have any open friends or other gay friends? That helps a lot, too. I end up going with my gay friends to their favorite clubs as a means of support, and its generally pretty fun despite my being straight. Maybe you could do the same if perhaps the idea of a "gay club" is too intimidating?

I'm not seeing very many encouraging and helpful advice in this topic, so I'd like to put something in (no pun intended.)

Wilhelm, it took a lot of courage to post a topic about your "sexual preference" and I respect that (please note that I'm not gay.) I used to despise homosexuals but after I got to know a few and befriended them, they aren't so bad and actually are excellent sources for girl advice.

My advice for you -- seeing as you are comfortable with yourself -- is to go out and be yourself. You never know, there may be others who are gay (but do not display it publicly) who will see this and try to contact you. However, if you would like to keep it on the down low, I suggest visiting some gay websites and community forums.

Hope this helps.

I agree. It takes a lot of guts to come out, especially to a group of extremely judgemental adolescents who still use the term "gay" to describe something they don't like. And at the same time, its very cool of you, Fizzle, to admit that homosexuals helped you realize that gay poeple are no different than straight people in the long run (aside from the whole sexual preference thing smile.gif).

And its true, my gay friends know more about girls than I would ever hope to understand. They're also the greatest gossipers on the planet... happy.gif

Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I find you attractive.

Please, don't flatter yourselves.

Haha I know. I figured I already threw in my two cents... my very unassuming and thoughtful two cents. As I said I have tons of gay friends and when they came out I said the same dumb "sexy manbeast" line to them because they, of course, gave me the whole "just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm attracted to you" speech. They at least laughed at how outrageous "sexy manbeast" sounded, though, which was the reponse I was looking for. Those were some good times.
