Since there seems to be a lot of interest in this, it warrants a sticky.

Adding to stats...

Well, if you have a router your server can't be joined. And our dedictated servers are hardly ever up.

Don't worry the SCS project is up only for about a week, and we are getting more dedicated server offers.

My server is down right now because it wouldn't let several people join.

Hmm, why not? And sys_ticrate means time between tickets are sent to clients. 0.2 means 5 fps and thats called terrible lag

. Default is 0.05 (20 fps) but when it is 0.1 (10 fps) you see no difference in fps while it halfs the lag. We tested it with Vibrator and 0.1 is the last one that doesn't show.
Anyway new config files for SCS servers are coming this week. And Good Luck on running your server man

If you want to start your dedicated server just post it or PM me.
BTW you can also play on your dedicated server by running Quake1.exe and joining your IP

. Whats the point of running it as dedicated not listen server? Because listen server cause terrible lag on clients to provide you no-lag conditions, while dedicated deals with all clients the same and is actually has less overall lag.
