i got another idea.
how about seperating maps from the download base from easy maps to difficult maps like the ones that are the really the best in one column that has awsome terrain and triggers and gaming. and the other column would be easy, like the ones that didnt use starforge but easy going games without that much work but still really fun.
is this a bad idea?

Oh, I thought you were mocking the fact when I don't like it when people sound like rude.
Frankly, I like the way the contributing is. People can contribute if they want or not, I really dont care. We have a fine number of contributers of quality maps being submitted, new concepts being made at this very site, and so much more. I can't ask for anymore, then that people look at the material and learn something and have fun.

YES i like the way yoshi stated that sentence. were here to learn and have fun and give opinions to others. this is suppose to be a friendly site not a back stabbing put downer loner person that thinks he tuff (only in the mind) but actually stays in one area and dosent goes in the outside world.

WORK! Like we need more of it
To sort through the 1600+ items in the DLDB and give them a WMC liek judging. That could take months.... years

I was trying to brainstorm with clokr_ a method of automatically going through each 1600+ files and getting their tileset + map dimensions.
I guess he said I could write a c++ program to unpack the mpq and then read the chk file, transform it into a peusdo database and then use php to insert it into the real database...
Too bad I don't know how to write such a program.
