I tried building Infested Terrans before you told me about the queue-glitch.

It is rather amusing that they added bugs into their own game while fixing other bugs. But I agree that its rather sloppy of them, oh well, at least 1.13d will annoy the hack users more tongue.gif

Blizzard makes mistakes, we all do. They've done this alot, and its their game, we play to get entertained by the noobs and own them. Blizzard makes great games because they hate us! [/somewhere is sarcastic..]

Summing it up;

I enjoy playing blizzard's games because when I have anger I take it out on players on battle.net or computer players. Thank you blizzard for relieving my pain wink.gif.

And this has to do with the new patch how? Ahh, I know why they're doing this, its an evil systematic plot, a plot to strip starcraft down to a smaller number of units and destroy the game's replayablity, thus we will stop playing starcraft and flock to thier far superior warcraft product line [/sarcasm]

Indeed. It will annoy hack users more, but it was rather sloppy. Either way, we should expect something soon, so best not to dwell on it.

Yes. They hate us alot. They hate our money. Alot. And yes, we should thank Blizzard for making this game. And laugh at the newbs who get owned by us!

Some conspiracy. It's not working! Last time I check, I still played Starcraft, not Warcraft all day.

They were in a rush to get this patch out because EAS/ESS triggers allowed virii in maps just like EUD triggers.

They did? Well, more bad news for the map making community.

The 1.13 series has really been a great pain in our backside. But before we have this argument again about Blizzard being evil, those who do not know how this argument came to a conclusion, please check out the threads named "Patch 1.13b", "Allow EUDs Again", and "Sorry, no more EUDEnabler". For the people who are too lazy to read, stop reading this right now and get a life. It's a couple of blocks of WORDS. The English language is NOT EVIL.

Blizzard must do what they have to do. Although the resulting effects this time are much funnier.

It could be a problem, I bet almost every RPG, most arena maps, and just about everything else uses IT's somehow, including the map I submitted abotu a week ago...

If it weren't for 1.13 SC would be dead already, due to something I like to call the MUTAMORPH HACK.

Really, not having EUD's isn't like we lost anything we didn't have before they were discovered, big deal SC is back to the way it was a month ago.

And removing EUDenabler and EAS and ESS, wow who cares? EUDs were gone before, I can't believe people are still hung up on the whole EUD crap.

This patch also stopped a hack which could have been as dangerous as the mutamorph hack, but Blizzard showed they cared for us and actually patched the game.

No ITs is just a SMALL inconvenience, I bet they will be fixed soon.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by The_Shattered_moose on 2005-08-23 at 16:40:56
Actually, it seems that ITs will SOMETIMES spawn, or at least they will under certain conditions, as I just played a game that used them as a standard "bomb" hero type thingy.

Replay summarizing the effect patch had on infested terrans.

Infested Terrans can not be built.
They can be spawned using triggers.
They still explode when used.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Voyager7456(MM) on 2005-08-23 at 17:04:55
That's interesting, because spawning Infested Terrans via triggers didn't work in Uberena, and another person in Op SEN said that it didn't work. huh.gif

Not sure. Probably. There's also a question as to whether they will show up anyway.

I just tested it. The answer is yes, they can be preplaced. AND they show up.

People, stop a bit and consider things from blizzard's perspective.
They have a popular game that is very week when it comes to security concerns.
They know that one virus in a map on a business computer and they could get sued for who knows how much.
As fast as they can patch these exploits, the map making community comes up with more in pursuit of better UMS maps.
They have been forced to release two patches in a month because of this, and the side effect of one of them is that ITs no longer work.
They are now getting hate mail from all sides, as well as quite a bit of people trying to get hacker sites shut down.

And their WoW servers still keep going down...

Some of the people there must be working 20 hour days...

ADDITION:
Apparently they're understaffed as well.

The only problems I see are hackers and idiots who can't get over EUD's. The thing about ITs is probably a mistake that will be fixed.
