I think I might start hosting a Skulltag server soon (instead of quake). Looks pretty neat and bots will make playing online a little more fun while your waiting for other people to join. I'll let you all know if I can set it up.

Well, if I were allowed to download the DoomII thingy by my parents I'd certainly be in. Unfortunately, I see a slim-to-none chance of that happening.

And even if I could, does it work with Win2k Pro?

And also, I'd host, but the bandwidth strain if combined with my Half-Life 2 usage would bring the Shaw Internet nazis on our asses.

So the Skulltag doesn't require the Doom2 EXE or any other Doom2 files? Just wondering to make sure I don't have to go elsewhere and find the Doom2 files (my parents would certainly ban that).

On a different note, is X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter old enough and good enough to be called a classic, and is it available as freeware? I've gotten too good for the computer opponents and I've beaten all the missions, and now I'm bored because the online is dead.

OOOO i remember! I kept going on Quake1.exe and trying to join servers. when i typed in the ip then pressed enter, a whole "dung" load of words poped up. on the bottem it said this: trying
still trying
conected
but they were overlaping so it was hard to tell...in the end it didint work so me and my bro played over our LAN and kicked the "dung" out of each other.

If you download skulltag from it's site then you need files but I included everything

his skulltag archives includes the only 1 required file (doom2.wad)

btw Lisk [38 : 0] DEAD @dm6
