Travelling freezes up. Some part of the triggers for the day to day progression is messed up. It's been a long time since I've done any work on that map, so I can't remember it too well.

I'm really liking how you sorted everything out and did your triggers, it's very easy to follow. Yay TUX!

Are you allowed to acces the Trail Option POS. at anytime? by sieging Cause i notice when the travel freezes you can't.

WOW, i'm impressed, even though i shouldn't be considering this is tux's map, but you put everything in this! you've got every possible situation from oregon trail.. Items stuff weathers options. just WOW.

Have you done the triggers for trail 01 Kansas River Crossing? Can you cross or what?

I could be wrong but do you think the problem has to do with the random number event stages are for Player 7, and it's a multiple player game so it's different per player but only done once as player 7. Perhaps those random number triggers should be for each player?

Thanks, but as I said, I've ditched this map. It just doesn't strike me as something people would want to play, so I don't want to waste my time. This might be something map makers would appreciate, but the average player would just regard this in the same vein as all my other experimental maps, which I'm tired of seeing happen.

The oregan trail was one of my favorite games to play when i was little, but now it hardly runs for anything new or i can't ever get it to work. Besides what's better than playing it multiplayer on SC?. You're right i don't know about others but this would probably be my favorite map to date. It's even got the dark swarm firing system ;p!!! you had so much going for it to. I played with rantent the other night and it just blew us away at the beginning and we were extremely sad to see it didn't work sad.gif. We looked at your triggers and saw you had pretty much every thing from the game from random events on day evaluation. It's sad to see a map like this be ditched. I'm sorry you ditched it cry.gif .

Heh, that's nothing. You should have seen some of the stuff I threw out with The Club 2, New World, Xenozerg, LotR Helm's Deep (yeah I was gonna make one of my own way back... which you saw a part of earlier tongue.gif), A&O's functionality map, and even Alchemists. I do it all the time, as it's all part of the process of playing around with what works and what doesn't to narrow down to absolute quality instead of just experimental quality. It's extremely painful to do, but I just don't have the time to finish everything nowdays.

If only there were more of me...

You made SC TV? Dude that was my first favourite movie, in fact other than Battle.net Experience it still is! Cheers! cheers.gif

lol, I musta made that one 2 1/2 years ago. Kill me is my best movie I think (so far), not including that damn trailer lol.

Anyway, I thought of an interesting feature for multiplayer if someone wants to use it: voice communication. Using the mpq sounds of various units that give certain messages (like a marine saying "Go go go"), you could easily communicate to a team by playing them via. hotkeys or dropship, which would be vastly more efficient than typing everything out manually.

Since I've been away from SC for a year now I never got to play the Trigger happy D map when it was released. I thought it was happy staredit triggers but after I played it I realized the meaning of the name. It is really a great map that is very different from the other D maps. Pushing the 'w' key and pressing where you want to shoot very fast is almost like shooting in a FPS game. It was quite a shame that you sometimes were unable to shoot just because some other player was in your area but I understand why it didn't work. After playing the map it kinda inspired me to do an air defence map with corsairs shooting and "casting spells" at the same time. I don't know if I'll ever start that project though.

Anyways. Thanks for posting your maps here, you really are an addition to the mapmaking community.

Pressing 1, then moving your mouse to click a command is 10 times slower than just typing alone.

I dont think thats what be ment. I think he ment by making a trigger that givin which ever condition will play the wav "Go go go". Personaly I think it'd be a neat thing to do, you could use Zlings, have them burrow and it'll play the wav. But to increase the players gaming abilities he'd best be smart enough to hotkey the ling for easy accessability towards the units hes controlling.

EDIT: I just understood him better lol. Use the dropship loaded with certain units that when dropped will play a wav and then reload to be used again. Haha thats better then my last idea. Good thinking Tux!
