It is well known to everyone that the end of the earth is going to happen sometime eventually. However, I don't think it will be for several generations. At least I hope it won't be. Think about how much better off now than where we would be in a few generations, forgetting about advances. It would be alot dirtier probably then.

yeah, we need to go back to the time where we didn't need any technolgy. personally i hate it when obeise people depend so much on technonlgy to run their lives. and whats worse about it is that the ENTIE world depends on technology to function. grant it that we have our essenitals but other then that, we dont need any other things to make more people obeise and even more technogy dependant.

The only somewhat recent attack we the united states received was 9/11. Because of this, Bush started the War on Terror thing and we initially invaded Afghanistan, Then a year or so later, we invaded iraq hoping to liberate anything related to terrorism. Well even to this day, we still haven't finished up what we had planned on doing in Iraq, and because of our slow progress, the middle eastern countries like Iran are no longer afraid of the United States. Before in the past, they use to fear us, but because of how much we're struggling with in Iraq, they aren't scared to confront us anymore.

I wouldn't say that the U.S. Government is that powerful. It just finds a way to make the people be extremely patriotic, with all that silly 'pledge' nonsense and the like. Other countries government is as effective, but the people aren't as happy with it.
