How do you suck at UMS? Each one is different. Sucking at a specific map, -maybe-, but they're not really too hard to figure out at least : )

Why is the United States of America so powerful? Like many said before me, location. Isolated from Europe we were able to avoid European conflicts and constant warfare which enabled us to developed at an incredible rate from a newly indepandant colony to a major country. Second is natural resources. Continental America was extremely rich in natural resources like ores, timber, and oil which boosted our industrial economy in to what it is today. Europe is small and has been mined, cut down, and drained of resources for hundreds of years and eventually they had to rely on imports, and from whom? us. More money = more power. Third reason, immigration. Immigration increased our population in the late 1800s and early 1900s many folds. The immigration provided cheap labor for industries to grow and created diversity in our population.
In today's world the US has weakened its position in the world greatly. Our massive reliance on oil is crippling our economy and we are living through a pretty bad inflation, the worst since the 70s. Our foreign relations are going poorly, we are failing to tie relations with some of the worlds military powers, like Russia, possible the number two military power in the world in terms of mobility, deliverance, and weapons capabilities (the have the most nuclear, biological, chemical, and other WMDs in the world, USA is obviously number 2, and Russia has one of the better nuke delivery system in the world with a very decent missle defense system).
I feel the downfall of the US will come in a matter of decades, but it can EASILY be prevented but the ways things are going now, we are in a hole thats getting deeper and deeper. I predict an energy crisis by 2050. Our oil is depleting very very quickly, and based on research its going to triple within the next 20 years because of China and India, they are industrializing very quick and in China's case modernize and they can't do that without oil. Currently the US consumes the most at 20 million barrels/day and Japan with China a total of 10 million more b/d. China is developing at greater rates, imagine their 1.5 billion people each with a car or a gas guzzling SUV? Our country will crumble under the energy crisis in 2050 there will be chaos, riots, and a civil war that will tear the country apart and then when each nation has collapse into a another dark age because of no mroe oil, Brazil will laugh at all of us and take over the world. Lol. Brazil is taking steps (since the 90s) in finding alternate fuel sources, they've pioneered ethanol fuel and nearly mastered it. Its a reproducable fuel source and its as powerful as oil. We are too busy spending 400+ billion dollars on Iraq, our national debt is insanely high. Imagine if that money went to finding a cure for cancer? or finding alternate fuel sources? That can't happen now. GG USA your time is almost up, we need to do something about the way this country is going.

USA is so powerful because we are power hungry. And we have on of the bests peice of 'lands' in the world (our continent, we have every resourc, we dont even have to export/import and we will still get by, but we do import/export becuase we are nice)

I hate my step dad because I bring up evolution and he says god made everything. And that NASA tried looking back in time and their was a hole in time and that this dude was in a war and God went right ahead and he choose favorites. we melt the polar ice caps to bring back the water to the planet
start planting genetically engineered plants to changed the CO2 to O2
start creating a thicker atmosphere to trap in the heat
