You didn't even put the italics correctly. But I tried with a bunch of things and it didn't censor.

Suck up?

QUOTE
The moderators seem nice to me.

QUOTE
I hope Kame becomes a global mod.

QUOTE
Mods are doing a good job. Chu and Kame noticed for sure.

QUOTE
Heh I would support Kame for global!

QUOTE
Those two are doing a good job I'll say.

QUOTE
Kame is a good mod!

That's all from like... 2 people. I get it, you think they're good mods, now shut up so I can get my point across. My beef with moderation isn't that they aren't active, it's that they pull stupid censored.gif . When a moderator spams, and 2 other moderators won't even do anything, that's when the system is flawed. Yes, Kame was the moderator who spamed.

Avoiding confrontation is quite possibly the most spineless thing you can do as a manger of human resources. When you're firing someone, you don't leave a note on their desk telling them to pack up and be out by 5, you talk it out with them. There's a diffrence between the work place and volunteer moderation, but the morals are similar.

I don't have a big problem with chu, sure, we've had our differences, but it's Kame who I think is a terrible moderator.

QUOTE
What ego? When it comes to moderating, I don't think I can develop one.

I was refering to the people praising Kame. But I'll take a moment to explain that there is ego in moderating.

QUOTE
An exaggerated sense of self-importance; conceit.

That's what ego means. I think Kame is doing a bad job, I've given plenty of proof, I'm not the only one who thinks so. Now a couple people are boosting her ego by saying shes a great mod. Essentially, she thinks she's a better moderator than she actually is.

Is it worth it to even bring up my questions again, or will they just be ignored again?

PS: Ultimo, censored.gif is not a swear or meant to be offensive. It's a word defining someone's sexuality, or state of being. People who think censored.gif is an insult are sad (though admitedly, if someone spread around that I was censored.gif it would lower my chances and censored.gif me off, on the internet, that doesn't apply). There are plenty of ways to avoid censors, like using the character "ƒ" but you'll still be banned for avoiding the censors. The only reason he updated it was because things like a man who wrote a book about whales were censored, but not things like a female dog.

Alright psycho. Listen the heck up. I really have tried not to get mad, and I'm not mad, I'm beyond frustrated.

Why are you still around? I seriously have changed. I am sending PMs now that the problem was brought to my attention. I post snap back links now when I catch someone screwing around. I am a decent person, and at every turn I am not frickin dissing you or laying all I want bare on you.

I took it for a while, I can understand why you were upset about the 'spam.' Yoshi created new rules to take care of that, if you've been paying attention, he posted it last night. I closed my topic, the age topic, and a few other topics that went against the new policy.

There is nothing more I can do. So either create a god damn time machine, stay out of the forums I mod, or report me to Yoshi or IP. Savvy?

If it bothers you, report it. If you dont think it will be listened to, tell me, Yoshi, or IP. I will do something about it if I think it's just pure spam - but if I can see a reason for the post then I will tell you why I left it there.

I don't think you understand the problem. I WANT MODERATORS TO BE ABLE TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES! You don't need a 500 page manual to tell the difference between something that's just plain stupid, and something that can stay.

To me, adding a new little rule isn't good enough. Unless you understand why that rule is in place, you havn't really changed at all. When you insult someones integrity, then they prove you wrong in with such painfully obvious facts that it's frustrating, and all you can say is, "I back down"... Not bloody good enough. When all the moderators can develop a spine and make their own desicions, ban people who are obviously worthless and stop doing stupid things themselves, then this topic will be trash.
QUOTE
stay out of the forums I mod

Just to censored.gif me off, you decided to tell me to do something I'm already doing. That's just rude. With the exception of the topic I made in spite as a plea to stop stupid topics, which, seems to have spawned the new rules (correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I played a big part). So I have the nuts to do something when I see wrong, is that a crime? Most of the community wants devilesk banned, but do any moderators have the nuts to do it? Not a chance. In case you forgot, I was the person who eventually got puni out of here, after months of his annoying posts, it takes months when you don't have any real moderation powers. So maybe it's a bit queer that vigilantees (I don't really like that word, because it's sort of insulting myself, but whatever) get rid of more scum than moderators, but it seems to be the way things are.

Unless you've got any more questions, I'm going to leave this community be after the tourney, and my UMS map are done (which will likly mean 2 or 3 more posts). If you pull another "WHY ARE YOU MAKING A BIG DEAL, JUST LEAVE!" on me I may have to pull a Mike Tyson on you (kidding, not that I should even need to say that).

ADDITION:
Chu, is it unreasonable to assume that if 3 moderators think the same thing, then the person who hired them will likely think the same thing too?

ADDITION:
Especially since I figured, of all people, bolthead is the most reasonable of moderators at SEN.

1. Maybe they don't have a reason to ban him? Just because all of SEN wants someone banned doesn't mean the staff will do it.

2. If Puni had annoying posts, then why the hell didn't you ignore him?

By a strange coincidence, people under the control of brutal dictatorships go through the same thing =-O

I was one of the few people who could identify stolen maps and catch him red handed. If I were going to ignore every user who annoyed me, it would take hours.

Psycho, if all moderators think alike (meaning they don't have a mind of their own coming from your definition of us) then why is it we occaisionally 'contradict' each other?

The only person who makes less and less sense around here seems to be you.

If 3 moderators told you there was nothing wrong with a post, would you take one guys complaint's side, or their side? I seriously don't think you have the nuts to do it. If you would have locked it for spam, say so now. I just seriously doubt you would have... besides, it's far more effective to make a topic proving a point putting an end to all future bull censored.gif , than a couple locked topics nobody even notices. Yes, sometimes you guys contradict eachother, but in that situation, it seemed terribly unlikly.

Of course not, I would form my own opinion. And I don't see how other moderators wouldn't.

Who cares if a moderator spams or flames, just bring it to the attention of Yoshi or IP, posting it here won't matter, mods are like gods, this isn't a democracy. You can only try to please the almighty gods Yoshi and IP.

Mods can bend the rules for themselves, they are mods after all tongue.gif

Considering Puni stole about 10 maps and many mods, he should have been banned, which he isn't.

Where's the truth in that?

QUOTE(Yoshi da Sniper @ May 30 2005, 11:43 PM)
Varified stolen mod graphics. I will treat this the same way as I do with map stealers. It is no different. However Puni, you've been a part of this community a long time, so I'll offer a comprimise.

You are hereby banned from all the UMS, Melee, and Mod Making forums on Staredit Network. You are banned from submitting files to our downloads database, and if you have any files already in there, they will be reviewed. Do not attempt to take action which will result in your banning. It is only fair, because you have not learned about giving credit for other peoples hard work.

You are free to presue whatever map making or modding things you want, just not here anymore.

Topic Locked, Puni is no longer a modder here.

I haven't seen Puni in a long time. And even if he is still here, compared to everything else they do they ARE thinking for themselves. If they were really strict and went strictly by what the rules say then there would be a lot more warns being handed out because of spam and flame.

BTW wesmic, didn't you tell me you would be banned soon tongue.gif You're not, so I guess the mods aren't doing there job biggrin.gif But that's a good thing because all love you smile.gif

I agree with Chu and what Yoshi said in the quote. Anyway, all Puni really did was post stuff related to mapmaking and modding, letting him look at other forums isn't going to mean he's going to do stupid stuff there. Banning him from those forums is already like banning him from the site wink.gif

I know this sounds like bull censored.gif , but I seriously just remembered the main reason I didn't report it to any mods or admins. Both IP and Chu made posts in Kame's thread. What good is it to report it to them?

Psycho, it wasn't your post that got the rules changed. I personally requested it from Yoshi to clear up confusion. Now, you post could've played into the decision, but it wasn't all because of you.

So, you needed Yoshi to tell you that that topic is total spam? There in lies my point. You need to think for yourself. It shouldn't be confusing to decide whether posting something everyone can figure out on their own is spam, or intelligent. Saying that pretty much proves you havn't change. You still go by the book, and if it isn't technically wrong, you don't care. All I want from moderators is consistency. Either you all make your own decisions, and the rules are more guidlines than anything, or you set everything in stone and you DELETE posts that don't belong.
