[sarcasm]Starcraft is going to die just like those games no one plays anymore, you know, games like Pac-Man, Pong, Tetris or turn into those boring sports that have been played forever yet barely change like baseball, basketball, football, soccer. Yea, all those old games and sports, so boring. [/sarcasm]

Tux has made me realize what a waste of time Starcraft has become. I'll go do what the last sentence of my signature says, because I've wasted my life on Starcraft.

Seriously? Then go and b**** about something you once thought was worth doing. Go ahead, I DARE you to go and do something worthwhile with your time.

Tavrobel: a virus is a completely different thing.

this is about a security breach (if there is any). and its fully possible to make a eud hack that's perfectly safe.

And if you think so, go ahead and do it, make one. Until then, my position stands. Let what is gone pass, and leave the dead to rest in sweet slumber.

Nothing is virus-proof completely.
That's BS. As I said, the range of memory access of EUDs and the actual position of code have to intersect somewhere. It would be entirely possible to find the ranges, and block them out with either the patch (very unlikely) or in the EUD enabler.

It's the fact that you people choose instead the "safe" route of hiding away from knowledge that we'll never know even if (let alone how) a contaminated map would be possible with EUDs.

Perhaps you are right. But is it not worth doing something while it is still living? And these sports are not boring. Well, basebal is boring to watch, and they do infact change; they change in the people which play it for money. After all it is funnyto se Terrell Owens piss off the people of Philadelphia by wanting to get anew contract a single year in. It's rather amusing.

It is not BS. If you have disproved it, then publish it. Yes, where is your map that proves to us that viruses are not possible with EUDs? Where is the proof that proves to us EUDs are impossible to infest with viruses or malicious software? And if people wish to "hide", as you say, is that not their prerogative? How long have we had this? What has the MAKER OF THE GAME done to stop this? they know more than we do, and we should respect their decision, and go on living life as we always have.

If you actually followed them, in football, they added the rule of not being able to pull someone down by their jersey collar. This has pissed people off because now every defensive player, and offensive linemen are not allowed to do as such.

Blizzard isn't the one that makes Starcraft survive, the people who play it do. Blizzard simply has to look out for us, as long as we play.

No. People stay because they want to play a seven year old game that has survived through everything that hes been thrown its way.

They stay because of it's legacy, and promise of continuation. Well it's legacy is fine and all, you can play melee every now and then or enjoy the average UMS bound/defense/madness trio of maps... but it alone is just that: a legacy. It'll stay as it is. SC as is has no future.

As for continuation, in the SEVEN BLOODY YEARS we have been waiting, name one thing that's come closer than EUDs? Project Revolution is a joke. They're never going to finish it (I'll be happy if I'm wrong, though.) SC2 is a joke. I don't doubt it's coming out, but it won't be any time soon either. They'll have to wait AT LEAST for Ghost, and then milk it for awhile to get anticipation, then they'll work their way up to SC2 from there. It's predictable.

When we finally get there, let me know. Meanwhile, I'm going to release Rush soon, then go on to doing something else. Sorry, I like SC, but this treatment by Blizzard is more than I can bare.

Some almighty one, I haven't seen him make a Starcraft map editing site anytime in the last century. But we have lived all this time without it. What makes one think we can't continue? The fact that some idiot thinks that Starcraft is dead because he can't play with some new toy that he had for less than a month anymore? What logic is there in that? And did I not hear you say that you were going to leave Starcraft? Go please, and hurry. We don't need your crap around here. Go and leave us be.

[sarcasm]Tux you took the words right out of my mouth, the only reason I play Starcraft is because it WAS a great game. Ya, the only thing on battle.net I do is reminisce about how great Starcraft WAS.

You're also too right on how Blizzard treats us horribly, I mean why do they even patch Starcraft anymore, especially how fast they've been patching "harmless" things? [/sarcasm]
