lol, its onl good for changing everything at once, not specific parts of the image. I use photofiltre. You can find it somewhere in the dldb. But you can also do stuff like that by using SF grp converter which can write all the grp images into one bmp.

Heh, some image editors will have problems working with such large images, though.

paint shop able to Batch processing for quick fix, rename, resize, convert, sepia, black & white, and 4x6 cropping.

but i'm not sure about recolouring but i guess that could be work through paintshop
like as Photoshop

what exactly size will be trouble working ?
most image editors are doesnt matter to do resize colour change and most of editing
except the format setting

When you tell my converter to put all of the frames into one image, it will make images with a height of over 65000 if there are a lot of frames. Such huge sizes don't work in some (possibly many?) image editors.

o ic technically i'd Keep that in mind
but whoever would try to make images with a height of over 65000 ?(is it pixel?) for grp in the Starcraft interested.gif

btw... why dont u add palette files in ur grp converter to use them easily for pulblic user ? that why was just ur lazzy? or let them to get files by themself ?

in my experienced in ur converter that is most less buggy of grp tools
I want to recommend ur convertor to compile grp except decompile to bmp

but its may makes pplz confused a bit in the usage when u decompile to bmp throgh there

so i think if u add each palett files and some of help file a bit that would be
more used for public modders

The images weren't that size, it is that way when my converter puts them all into one image, thus the size is larger.

The converter in my program is likely less buggy because I tested it under a small variety of things that people would normally not do with their custom GRPs. smile.gif Of course, I also have a 100% complete understanding of the format; the creator of RetroGRP doesn't sound like he did (at least not a 100% understanding of it), from some of the comments he put in the read-me file.

Hmm, I don't really intend on finishing the program, since BroodKiller is making his own program which uses the same GRP decoding and encoding engine (and will possibly even use some code from my converter program); however, I think I'll still consider adding palette files and adding a file saying how to use the program.

yea ur converter have most less buggy especialy when i have compile with bunch of frames

BTW, u said that u have a 100% complete understanding of the format
so I wonder could u make such a file converting to convert between GRP and other animated graphics file ( such as GIF or FLC Animation Format ) if u have a 100% complete understanding i suggest try that
for reference FLC file i show u link page which FLI/FLC format description
http://www.compuphase.com/flic.htm

if pplz who's have experienced in making animations file
then normally they are use those format for their working

so my point is if we can able to convert GIF or FLC to GRP and reverse working
basicly we dont need to add any editing features at all when use grp tool

GIMP and photoshop and bunch of grachics tools have powerful editing features
to make image and animations so i think that is most effectual and economic solutions

whoever add editing features in grp tools
that could not follow to other technical graphic editors which used widely in the CG industry

typically GIMP and Photoshop they are allow to change each frame counts
and colours and palettes , add and remove frames and play fearures

i think if u would get understand about other animations file format which used widely for graphic and animation editors
that would be not hard i believe like that even though i'm not programer

From what I can see, it's quite possible to add FLIC support for GRPs. smile.gif
