Tux you took the words right out of my mouth, the only reason I play Starcraft is because it WAS a great game. Ya, the only thing on battle.net I do is reminisce about how great Starcraft WAS.

You're also too right on how Blizzard treats us horribly, I mean why do they even patch Starcraft anymore, especially how fast they've been patching "harmless" things?

Really, I like that blizzard is still keeping up with the game. I like that they want to continue it. What I DON'T like is that they arn't telling us anything.

If this were another person, and you had to deal with them giving you the silent treatment, how would you feel?

[sarcasm]It's obvious that the rumor of viruses being in maps is false, I mean think! Blizzard isn't out to fix the game for us, they just want to ruin it! [/sarcasm]

You can't tell if someone is being sarcastic or sincere if your life depended on it can you? Really, if you haven't realized why all your points are great when replying to my posts, you have no idea what I actually mean.

Okay, really, you guys are taking this far too seriously and taking it out on each other. There is a security threat. It was patched. We tried to override it, but the security risks are way too big. The more people who have it and support it, the more people's computers will become garbaged.

I think starcraft IS a great game and got more innovative as time went on. However, the limit of innovation at this website stops when it can actually cause harm to your computer in this manner, just by uploading a map as such.

Maybe becuase if we hear the truth, we will wish we hadn't.

I for one am going to leave gracefully from this conversation. I cannot bear to hear this ingratitude for a game that has given us enjoyment for thelast seven years. Tixedo, Devilesk, and whoever wishs to leave, should leave now, before Blizzard "F***s" them over again by doing something in their best interest.

All the talk about EUD triggers making maps harmful is speculation and idiot rumors.
I have yet to see anything that shows EUD triggers doing something harmful.
They can only modify a limited range of game memory and you know it.
You're cowards, hiding from what you don't understand.

Tux is the master, if you don't support him you are a fool.
I don't regard myself a master, though I probably am the closest there is to one (among others here). I never wanted to be, anyway. I could have been, but you see, what then? I'd be relegated to upholding that role, and have little room to explore or act freely without breaking that role. I may someday, but not now. Not while I still have things I want to do.

QUOTE
I haven't seen him make a Starcraft map editing site anytime in the last century. But we have lived all this time without it. What makes one think we can't continue? The fact that some idiot thinks that Starcraft is dead because he can't play with some new toy that he had for less than a month anymore? What logic is there in that?

QUOTE
I say Yoshi is the master. If you don't get that, then you might as well be an idiot, and insult him to his face, but you can't do that can you?

Yoshi is a product of SC's popularity. He's done some good things for mapping, but nothing that compares directly to EUDs, extended terrain, etc. His major accomplishment is this site, which has been the host of all the recent developments in map making lately. To that end, he is the master. But on the mapping side specifically, he's long since given up that role.

Anyway, you're in a real hurry to win an argument that doesn't exist here. I never ONCE said SC is dead, or will die. I just said it has no real future. That doesn't mean the communities within it don't, or that there can't be spectacular maps that take on their lives of their own. EUDs as far as I could tell were the closest thing to an automodder, which I stated LONG AGO would be the only real way to perpetuate SC in the face of Blizzard's long procrastination with a SC2.

What happened to the days of the Frontier when men would risk life and limb to explore? There is no real proof that it could garbage peoples computers. Yoshi you yourself thought that the morph hack would ruin melee on starcraft yet no one really ever got into it. Tux I used to think you were concieted but for once I agree with you about Starcraft Dying and this was the best bet to bring it back to its formal glory. Yoshi many times in life the Risk have out wieghed the rewards but people still pushed on. Can it be so wrong to support EUD maps? Post warnings and have only us that our willing to test them to submit them. If I test it with my crappy comp and it don't have a virus then that map is secure Yoshi. Do you get that? It can not be infected after that unless the submitter of the map updates it then which could easily be controlled where only you can submit EUD maps after they have been tested. If someone wants to update thier map then it could be re-tested and then updated by you. How hard is that? For the sake of the community then please do that Yoshi.

StarCraft is not dead. EUDEnabler is not dead. Yoshi has stopped hosting EUDEnabler, but that does not mean it is dead. If you want it, you probably know where to get it, or you already have it.

Oh no, let's not drive cars since there is increased chance of dieing, better yet, let's not walk since there is also chance you could die. How about we just stop doing stuff, since that means we won't have a possibility to die? Oh wait, you can't do that, since theres a risk with everything you do. Does that stop you from doing it?
