m.r.bob: Well I think that some SENers could make it. There would be going agaist blizzard's wishes I guess. But what I think blizzard really wants is perfectly safe EUDs. There is no reason for them to hate EUDs besides the security threat they provide.

Now I think (I have nothing to back this up, so I'm making an assumption here) that it is definatly possible to make a EUD enabler that would make EUDs as safe as starcraft currently is without them.

Now you can disagree with the above paragraph, but I already know you do, so don't disagree with it here unless you have program er knowledge of starcraft like DK does, and if you do have that kind of knowledge, specify exactly why it would be too much effort or impossible to make EUDs that safe.

I think coding a EUD enabler would be as much of a waste of time as coding Penguin Plug.

Blizzard unoffically declared their support for penguin plug when they used it's code to figure out how to patch the crash hack (or used it as their inspiration to patch it). Well anyway, I saw a blizzard rep talk about how he couldn't offically support it, for buisness reasons, but that it was a good program.

I think the same thing might happen with EUDen, but first it will be an illegal program for quite a while. In the end though, blizzard might accept it and kinda work it into a patch, but not offically of course. Offically it would be becuase lots of people asked them to figure out how to enable EUDs while keeping them safe through email and they had free time on their hands (which they certanily don't now).

^ Yes I know everyone else is very skeptical about this scienerio happening, but I think we should at least give it a try. ^

And the above scenario is why Yoshi should stop being a coward, go against blizzard's wishes and put the EUD enabler back online.

And EUDEnabler will always be illegal, circumstance or no circumstance. Whether or not people care is the rule of thumb here. I certainly don't, and you can do what you want. If it works, then give yourself a pat on the back.

Now to anwser devilesk's argument, I think that Yoshi should go agaist blizzard's wishes, becuase blizzard would never do something such as attack a webiste like this. I think that what they really want is secuirity risk free EUD.

And if SEN won't support it because they want to have a good relationship with blizzard, and because they don't want to be responsible for a dangerous program.

What I was thinking when I wrote that was the whole letter of the law and spirit of the law thing.
