The way I see it, the point of living is a sorting and perfecting process
in other words, we start out as plain, simple creatures with no knowledge or wisdom,
throughout our life we gain knowledge and wisdom (or most people do), but also gain bad behaviours because of it,
over time we should lose most of our bad behaviours and continue gaining knowledge and wisdom,
then when we die, the wise people that have been purified (I would say through-christ but that would cause unnecessary spam) will continue on towards our next lives, and the im-pure, whether wise or a fool, will perish in destruction

To block out common sense. If anything Emotions are the reason why most people die. Love for anything, a country, using a gun, the thrill of doing dangerous stuff, if you love someone and they dump you, you get angry (Another emotion) and maybe do some bad thigns, depression makes you less productive, which could make your grades slip, you could commit suicide, or end up making your life suck so it kills you in the long run (Homeless) and a bunch of other crap.

I think people are forgetting about this really. They're just starting to only see this as a single event, not really remembering the stuff that happened that day. Why? I guess it's primarily due to distractions with other stuff, like the iraq war. Not saying that the iraq war is bad or anything, but it's just that it's drawn too much attention away from 9/11.
Recently, i saw this video at youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDh_pvv1tUM...&page=1&t=t&f=b and it really brought back the memories of the horrible stuff that happened that day. This really really touches me, even if I watched this a million times.
Sure we probably have to move on. But it seems like people are forgetting what 9/11 is truly about; it's not just a day which the WTC crashed, it's not just a day which four planes got hijacked by terrorists; it's a day which thousands of innocent people died because of cowardly acts committed by cowards and enemies of freedom.
