Extended unit 6178 is what he used. It is invisible(in that map) and has similar properties to that of an arbiter, like cloaking the units around it.

What unit might that be?
Unit 6178. Unless you have a brain to comprehend me just mentioning it, I don't suggest you post. Plus you quoted a post RIGHT FUKCING ABOVE YOU, which is EXTREMELY annoying. Next time don't quote the post before yours.
I already sucessfully cloaked units using this method.
EDIT: So as not to sound like I did it before today, after talking to DK via messenger I placed the unit and got positive results.
Ahh, I see...That might be useful.
But remember, something might go down somewhere at some point in time so look sharp!
I cloaked an arbiter, I'll try to get a screenshot but even P161 uncloaked an observer, all the others P# is never glitchy unless it's P161.
ADDITION:
Also, I don't see "ALL" units cloaked, how about buildings?
All units cloakable with an Arbiter can be cloaked using this method.
I knew Death Knight would get it. I told you guys before that it was here on SEN. just place them around a map you get all units cloaked.
This map will crash you if you click on the ultra.
Sprites placed in the unit mode crash.
Or it could be that a computer owned the pylon. *Ahem,* cloaker unit thing.
"click on the ultra"? What do you mean by that?
Wait, I might know...
Linked units. Example: Place a floor hatch, and a nuclear missile to the left of it. You can move your mouse over the nuke and it will appear clickable! But, when you click on it, it will select the floor hatch.
Paella, I would have found out even if you hadn't given me a PM about it. I just needed to look at an example map or replay. That's why I asked for it.
Love you Deathknight =P.
I never play with extended units...until now, whoo hoo.
And for those extremley stupid people (Yes you exist):
I had known about it for almost 6 months, but I never told anyone because the new patch will kill this effect

so I decided that I would let the community know.
How do you know what the new patch will or will not do?
And some contributor you are, you're basically hovering a piece of meat over a dog's head, letting him know you have it and are eating it but not giving any to him. Cruel man, real cruel.
EDIT: The unit seems to be very volitile when combined with 0 waits.
you can't place extended units with X-tra right?

Nope, SC Xtra can't do that. Try StarForge, or a hex editor. I'm gonna see what affect this has on a mac... (probably crash)
Nope, you must use an editor like Starforge or SCMToolkit to do this ... I'm not even sure SCMToolkit can do it, actually.
Paella, i think you would give all credits to a-Friend ..... He discovered that unit, and i would want to say you :
i already made that thing so, it's not very interesting for ME

because a-Friend posted on my topic so i knew that , and i made experiments on it, and DK too, i think and i made a conclusion

: when owned by a player : it crashes, when by a computer, it crashes, so u'll need neutral (p12 will be good) and i didn't exprimented enough to know if it crashes sometimes with p12, or never, ....
i think DK or Paella got the answer

Well i had it owned by players and it never crashed for me. I found that on that kids list in your thread, but no one used it so i tried to exploit it. I also used the opetion "place map revealers" in SF and then chnaged them to the unit to make it so that they were evenly spread. I hope we don't lose this unit in the new patch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
man i need to play with extended players more... unfortunatly i on mac so it not so easy...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah its impossible for us Mac users, not to mention the fact that all maps with extended players crash StarCraft for us.
...Even though this isn't an extended player, it's an extended UNIT.
I have a question though. Does it crash your SC or your whole Mac (People say this happens to them, I am skeptical)
interesting... I don't think an arbiter is being used but what I found in Rexy's map shows a unit called "Null". The Unit's health picture looks like a science vessel when the shadow is just a scourge... pretty interesting
I can't click on it at all. It's completely invisable to me.
The unit reads from other sections of Starcraft data. It could get its health from the name of the person in the player 2 slot for all I know...
