Personaly the voting system wont work... Because i've never created a map doesn't mean I'm not advanced... I can do all the trigger's and know them all. Ocasionaly I forget some of the tricks but still... Ive never done a map and so I have nothing to show... yet...

But don't you see? knowing how to do something won't help anybody, unless you actually do anything with your knowledge it's pointless.

And that's for everybody, skill level is not determined by your knowledge, you make maps to allow other people enjoy on bnet - does your knowledge make they enjoy? NO! the maps you make do, and if you don't make maps, than you're not even a map maker.

You've clearly never met Dabbu
He is one of the best mapmakers I know and has very little to show for it.

I wouldn't know. I know he came up with the burrow detection that we all love and. Wrote that crazy hyper trigger tutorial that most everyone doesn't follow.

He was a member here . . .

Once you mention Hyper Trigger Conceptual Tutorial that I submitted to SaLaCiouS(U) because I thought it would help people understand waits and how Hyper Triggers worked, I remembered who he was. Yes, he was genius!

I read that tutorial many times and understood it fully. It's very useful information. The Burrow Detection I never really bothered to note who made it because I never thought about it.

He also came up with all sorts of aesthetic effects like using Yamato Gun and his mobile shield arcs idea. Also, he was probably the first person (besides maybe qPirateKing) to integrate sprites and terrain aesthetically. We had skyscrapers and stuff, but it was him and qPirate who ushered in a new standard for terrain.
