SCMD fizes doodads from Forge.  if you don't want it fixed, I usually switch one tile with it's high terrain equivalent or something.  If you use the two together, they're great.  StarForge let's you do much more with sprites than SCMD.  I can't evenselect placed sprites in SCMD, but Forge let's you move them around and set them to disabled??or something.  That allows some neat stacking unit glitches, biggrin.gif.

scmdraft 2 allows you to disable sprites via sprite properties and you can disable them before placing them in the sprite chooser window.

Lol. I think SI actually uses C++ rather than some visual newb language. I think (if) I manage to get a group together to work on a mac editor, it'll definitely be in objective-C. Obj-C is simply way better for doing group projects, and makes things much more reusable later on. For instance, We'd make an mpq handler class out of the C source of mac MPQ2k, then make dat handlers and all that good junk to read from SC's patches. All of those things could then be reused to build a custom making application, with few or no new parts other than the gui.

Also, who was it that suggested making a custom-editor-maker... They ough to be shot disgust.gif

Custom Editor Maker exists, do your changes in the form of a MOD, add it to an MPQ and use MPQDraft to use it with StarEdit.
DONE.
