ahhh not another one of these, so many of these over the time that the 3 systems have been out, well anyway heres what i think:
GameCube: most there games are made for really yound kids like i mean WTF is super monkey ball i mean when i first heard of it i was just like and the disks are really small, and when i have a gamecube i would lose the disk, but i sold my gamecube

Xbox: graphics are good, game lengths and most story lines are good, but they need more varity of games, they mostly have action, adventure and like 4 racing, oh and fighting

PS2: i use this for DDR(Dance Dance Revolution) games, burnout games, and grand tarismo(or how ever you spell it) games, sony makes a lot of games, and they are mostly fun but anyway, usually i just use this for the games above and a dvd player

Yep, ps2 has the game with the best graphics in the world. (seriously) Final Fantasy. So ps2 has better graphics.

And even if u dont agree with me(which is stoopit.), DO NOT say that ps2 has bad grpahics. That is the most stupid thing ive ever heard.

I'm sorry, but it was painfully obvious that he was a fanboy of the PS2. He only showed ratings which don't even prove anything, since everyone has a different opinion, and he obviously picked the best games from the PS2, 2 from the XBox and ZERO from the Gamecube. If that isn't being biast, then I don't know what is. When I talk about my opinion, I provide facts, and I provide a point of view from all sides, as I own all three consoles, so I know what they all play like. Do you see me blatantly flaming people since you don't like the Gamecube? No, since I'm not a fanboy. I prefer the Gamecube over both, but I like PS2 for it's RPGs and action adventure games. I would like the Xbox more, except it's reilant on the Xbox Live feature. Try providing facts before you try insulting someone buddy.

Revelade, I thought Super Smash Bros Melee was an awesome game, I could play the single player all day since of the VAST amount of unlockable, and isn't unbalanced gameplay if you know the advantages of each stage and character. But I can't change your opinion, so I won't.

It's clearly obvious that most of you have something against the Gamecube, either it be the indigo colour, the abudance of kiddy games, the small discs. 80% of the people who post here exclude the Gamecube from major competition since it's a kiddy system, and people don't believe it has good graphics. Go look at Resident Evil 4 and you'll see it isn't a crappy system. It's childish, you don't care about the colour, you're not looking at it, you're looking at the screen. As long as it isn't hot pink, then you'll be fine. Sure, there are kiddy games on the Gamecube, if you don't like them, don't buy them. Simple enough, if you don't like the product, don't touch it. Christ, you act like it's bringing down the whole system since of it. Xbox and PS2 both have crappy games, but you don't see people mentioning it since kiddy games are obviously way worse then a crappy game with absolutely no good gameplay. Of course! I didn't know! If you can honestly not put a disc into a box after each time you play or everytime you switch discs and you manage to lose it, please don't not own anything above the value of 10$ since the Gamecube disc isn't that small.

You see, I can provide proof for my arguement. Can you?

warhammer, the PS2 does NOT have bad graphics. However, the FACT is that the PS2 has the least graphical power of all consoles. You can't change this, neither can yoshi, nor can I. It's a given.

I'm sorry you interpret this forum that way Ultimo. I am a cube gamer and I do not own any of the other consoles. Though I still believe SSBM is unbalanced, I respect you greatly when you said this quote, "But I can't change your opinion, so I won't." Even with those things I said, I still think SSBM is a fun game, don't get me wrong.

People, the fact is there are no such things as "kiddy" games. The games that are in this category are suited for a more broader audience, as opposed to a limited one. Super Smash Brothers is fun for literally any age group. A game like Doom would be suited for an older audience. I don't see how having a larger audience as a bad thing.

People, it all comes down to exclusive games. You're not going to buy a system if it's the smallest. You're not going to buy a system for a dvd player. Even the controller design is not the reason to buy a console. You are going to buy the system for it's main purpose: playing games. Each console has it's own set of exclusive games. The titles you prefer the most will most likely decide which console you are better off to.

Personally, I hate the new Final Fantasy games. They started to suck after 8, the story lines pretty much all were the same, no good plot twists or anything.

The best ones perhaps were FF3, FF7, and FF8.

The others were alright ('cept the ones after 8).

Ok, so they have a massive polygon count. That doesn't mean they have excellent graphics. The models are nothing without their skin, that's where GC and Xbox kick in. Xbox can handle the most polygons and hardly slows down and GC can support textures like a mofo.

I'm not dissing PS2 (I got all 3 ) but honestly, they can't have good graphics if you have to nearly overload the PS2 just to get rid of the jaggys.

Halo 2 in my opinion is who can get the rocket launcher/energy sword first. Then they start pwning. But, i still think it's one of the better shooters out there.

Dude, Final Fantasy only has good graphics on cutscenes, but others is just average. Halo 2 doesn't have that good graphics. Metal Gear Solid 3 has so much better environment graphics and people graphics than Halo 2. Gamecube, i have only seen Cel Shading graphics, so I can't really say anything.

PS2 is harder to make games for (U can see this from when you try to put games that are from Gamecube/Xbox to the PS2 like Brothers in Arms or Chaos Theory, the PS2 version SUCKS), so PS2 is really good at exclusives. Xbox is good at taking PS2 games and making it better.

As for my OPINION:
Xbox has the most game potential, due to its powerful system.
Ps2 (Sony) has the best library of games, and waaay more accessories. Mmm, accessories.
Gamecube= Cheap, compact, durable, with many games that I have found to be just as entertaining as anything else. (Animal Crossing was the biggest craze among me and my friends for about 4 months or so...it was awesome)

These are just my OPINIONS, however. And my opinions mean to everyone else exactly what they want em to mean.



Heres somehting I just realized, also: Both Gamecube and Xbox have 4 controller ports, but Ps2 only two, forcing you to buy adapters. Explain.

No, it's just that PS2 came out first, so they thought u didn't need 2 controller ports. Maybe that's why it took faster to make them. That leads to more time to makin games and then more game selection. Their stratgy is working!

And since PS2 came out first, the technology wasn't as advanced as when Xbox and Gamecube were out, so they couldn't handle having 4 controler ports?

And plus, PS2 is more of a single player system rather than a party system. And the look of the PS2 loos a lot more formal than Gamecube/PS2.

That makes the N64 look good.

I do agree with you that the PS2 is more suited to a hardcore gamer who doesn't play with many people.

It seems to me that there are just as many multiplayer games on Ps2 as there are on any other system...

I dont think thats fair at all....thats llike xbox requiring the adapter for a remote to read DVD's when it was already perfectly capable of it. Now, if buying the remote was OPTIONAL, as a convenience over using a controller.....

maybe ps2 didnt think they needed 4 ports, or the system was too powerful, so they had to cut something down. Or, trying to keep tradition.

But because it's not very common, a lot of multiplayer games don't support 4 players. On the other hand, just about every multiplayer on the other consoles are programmed for 4-player gameplay. Even I don't understand why Sony never designed the PS2 to have four ports from the start.

First, thats how Sony makes money. And when the ps2 was first released, well.... 4 player games were very, very uncommon.

what r u talking about, today, most games are four player. unless its a game like GTA...

4 Player games were very uncommon? When the PS2 came out, there were only three other consoles on the market: the Nintendo 64, the Sega Dreamcast, and the original PlayStation. The first two were designed with four controller ports and had plenty of four player games...

But Nintendo 64 wasn't as powerful as the PS2 was. So, PS2 cost more money to make, so they made up for it with cutting it down to 2 controllers... I think...

Once again, the too powerful statement. But the money deal DOES make sense, I guess that extra few dollars less profit from each Ps2 really would have eaten them alive.

Come on, Sony, the Ps2 was supposd to be a next-generation console...bigger, better, badder than before, and able to accomodate games never before seen.... and you delivered sub-par.

I play games for the game the system has, not the actual system. Maybe you play Xbox for the powerfulness of the system. I just like playing one player games like Final Fantasy, God of War, Soul Calubur 3 (When it comes out), Tekken 5, Gran Turismo 4, and who could forget: KATAMARI DAMACY, THE MOST CREATIVE GAME EVER!

PS3 will never beat Xbox 2... On the xbox 2, There basically going to make evrey game's graphics like Resident Evil 1, On the gamecube, Pluss the games are going to be cheaper then PS3.
