Well personally after I play a violent game, I don't feel like going killing someone. But for many parents and politicians video games are an easy thing to link violent behavior to.
Yeah I hate that it's stupid they dont know anything about it...
They think that violent games cause kids to go crazy or something but its really not like that.
Actually some games do encourage some kids/teenagers to do unlawful or heinous acts of crime... Such as the starcraft map "Nazi D", that corrupted many minds into hating jews and take up Nazism, (GOD DAMNS NEO NAZIS) also some games encourage kids/teenagers to hate what the game tells them to hate... anyways, Rating systems are fair in some way, they warn parents or guardians of the maturity of the game, though you may not think the game deserves that rating, many other people mainly adults seem to look at that rating deemed appropriate. Therefore, parents/guardians who actually care about their children, want to protect them from today's violence... so don't get mad or complain... your parent's love you and thats all!
So you're against the fact that children must absolutly NOT learn "real life" before a certain age? I mean, at some degree, they LEARN about violence in video games and TV. If they don't see this or play this; they just will learn it the hard way... Which ain't always good anyway...
I dont think hes saying its a bad thing that kids learn how the real world is this early... i think hes just saying that its kinda stupid and pathetic that people put out "Hate" maps... even if it is just fun and games.
well for one thing, if i had a 9 years old son i wouldnt let him play postal 2 or any game that involved a lot of killing
9 year old yes. 12 year old maybe. 15 year old, no.
Well to decide if I was going to let him play then I would rent it or something to test and see if it was as bad as the ratings made it seem.
Oh common... Kids start having girlfriends at 11 and sex at 13 these days... Can't blame violence at that point -_-
No you can't blame violence for everything.
Well, you could, but you'd be an idiot.
Many examples of that in our culture today...
i just saw this documentary on tv.. all i could do was laugh.. some guy that had been training his kinds shooting guns since they were 3 said that he tought that computergames are more dangours then guns.. lol if i play a game and kill in the game its not like ill go out and kill people in real life.. if someone does that he gitta ahve something else ####edup in his mind. damnit those politicans gets me pissed of when they are blaming violence on games.
I hate it when politicians think that they are so smart because they know why violence is going on. Even though they are way off on their assumptions.
Hey we saw with Bush that even when you "know" the reason for it, there may be other reasons...
Too true Dashrike, too true.
Hehehe I hate the President.

See I think thats pushing it a little. I don't hate the man, I hate the position and the way everybody automatically assumes that he knows everything
just because he's the president. Everybody just blindly follows what the politicians say without any questions...
anyway its not normal to kill someone because you saw someone kill someone in a game so the few people who actually does that has got to have some other big troubles in their heads and then their parents blames videogames because they were perfect parents right? and the politicans have made perfetc laws about guns not letting those kids get them right?
Heh little jump back to original topic.
