lol first off thats maybe 12 guardians at most second that spell doesnt last long to kill all of them second, the other 4-6 groups of 12 coming in right behind would take out those Dragoons in no time, the only way to make a differene would be if you had some templars in there doing some Psi storm and not just 1 or 2 of them

If the players you're playing are actually letting you get 4-6 groups of 12 Guardians, then its no wonder they can't beat them. If you're on Battle.net, I'd be interested in a nice Protoss vs Zerg matchup. And not on an island map, as in your screenshot.
[edit] Also, the map I designed for that screenshot was very unbalanced. The goons are far outnumbered (which wouldn't be the case considering Gaurdians cost much more), plus they don't even have the range upgrade. [/edit]

well thing is they cant really stop me from getting those groups of guardians becauase at the same time i'm keepinf them at bay with Hydros Lurkers and Zerglings, granted this can sometime be a very slow process if they like to attack constantly and also until I actually send them to attack to serve as guardians of my main base so they never have a chance to kill them before I send them at their base, unless i'm playing someone that ive played before and they send Valkaries knowing what i'm about to do lol but thats only happened twice
I can also do tjhe same with a vast swarm of Zerglings but thats usually boring no challenge with the Z's I could easily get more than 9 groups of them send them in take out all the unit making buildings by then all the Z's are dead lol then I take out the rest with some Hydros see when I use Zerg most of the time its nothing but these kind of attacks, I take advantage of the zergs cheap units and swarm like crazy
I only start using real tactics with Terran and especially protoss

Helios, Minimoose is right if you were to do what you just said you would be spliting between two tech trees, which would take all your resources. The opponent could just expand in that time, and get goliaths, corsairs, or scrouge.

It depends. In comp stomps, it's usually Terran or Protoss due to Protoss's mass cannons or a Terran wall-in (usually Terran though....in MY experience). For other modes, I'd say Protoss, due to Carrier abuse. But that's still my opinion as well.
