The name says it all, What race do you think is most played as on B.Net. (UMS) Use map settings, Melee.

I have no idea, having never been on bnet. However, I will guess Terran.

Protoss for Melee, simply because most of it is money maps. Generally Protoss will usually win any early-game in a money map, unless the Terran or Zerg are quite skilled. But, it's a money map, so half the time they aren't.

Zergling Rushes are popular. So Zerg.

Zerg rushes are gay and overused; no one's using it anymore. People use more Protoss for reasons Moose pointed out (yay Carriers!??), and cuz Protoss is the "perfect" "alien" race, so it also dominates UMS maps.

I put zerg, because I know that, that is the race i see most on bnet. zerg rushes are awsome, not gay. the most common race for newbies is terran because they are easyer to understand.

Id say Zerg or Protoss... those 2 dominate unless you are Really good at melee and have mastered Terran.

It would have been more accurate to ask "What's your favorite race?"

Anyway,if I have to guess,the answer is Terran. Because battle.net is flooded of newbs,and newbs will tend to use the easiest race (Terran). Unless they're too stupid,of course.

I disagree, the terran race is harder to master, there units are weaker then the rest, they cant mass produce any units without alot of buildings and they take up Alot of room. The only true power weapon they have are Nukes or Battlecrusiers. And those take alot of time to get and strategy to use. Im not saying that other strategys dont work... in fact the terran have Alot of strategys that devestate the enemy im just saying they are harder to use then Zerg or Protoss.

Terrans can be fun when you're playing terran vs. terran, but other than that, I don't really like them...

I love playing terran... but i typically only do it when i have a few allies, that way while my allies are toying with the enemies i have time to mass up 10 or so nukes to obliterate the enemy. Or do a 300 BC rush or something stupid but fun

Protoss, when I play most melees I'd say 2 out of 3 people I play with will choose them.

Hmm... I see mainly Zerg, then Protoss, than Terrans. I see the Zerg as the newb(not in any offensive way) race, as in they can be easily used with half-decent results. The Zerg can be used without so much micro-management since they're more Swarmers than Duelers like Protoss, and the Terrans are kind of the Mages in that they're more geared alternate non-straight-up-combat strategies. The way I see it.

Rayne, I consider myself equally skilled with all races, and I do equally good with all of them. I know alot of newbies from my city, and they play terran just because they are the easiest to understand. Most of them dont play zerg until last because they are harder to understand.
Unknown_Being, I do alot of micromanagment when I am zerg. I try to make 2 different attack groups so I can pull one out and let it regenterate life. I micro to take out dragoons and Hydra to take out zealots all at the same battle.

There is no need to be a #### Andy, its a simple opinion, its through my experience with the race and how i have always played... personally i could care less what your opinion is on the situation, how about opening up your mind a bit to other thoughts instead of flaming them eh?

You know, I find this just so interesting how Protoss excells! I mean, the only reason people love them is because how fast they can build and the carriers! Otherwise, It is just worthless. That is why I think Terran and Zerg Should be the true races!

I've chosen Protoss, mostly everyone plays protoss whether it be on a money map or a map with low resources... people just like playing protoss because of Temps,Zeals, and Goon micro... Terrans on the other hand need at least 5 Rines to take out a goon... Zerg need at least 6 lings to take out goons... plus on LT Goon rushes are most widely used tactic.. especially with reavers and/or High Temps!!

Wow you need to get back on Battle.net... Goon rushes are instant suicide since lings, zealots AND marines own dragoons... Very easily.

Ive choosen Zerg not that i'm noob in any way its just that I like using them especially Guardian swarms and lurker swarms, Ive yet to play someone that can beat my Guardian swarm of about 100 control worth with some Devourers to back them up in air attack, even if they have a decent air force I can still take out more than half of their main base before they start taking out signifigant numbers of my guardians, I bet there is nothing that can stop my Guadians besides Lots of Corsair or Valkaries

And thats my opinion, why can they say their opinions but I cannot say mine? You gonne "let me off this time", scary.
