When it first came out. If your Vanilla CD-Case says "Mature" then you most probably bought the game in 1997. You're one of the original players like me

Hard to think of it as mature though, maybe the cinematic where the guys are in the Science Vessel and the Hydralisk stabs the guy through the face (his face explodes for some reason) and drags him up.

You probably don't remember how things were back then. TV and other games have pushed the boundries further and further. What's considered nothing now was considered extreme in the 90's.
