FLCL and Ghost in the Shell weren't translated as good as they could have been but they're still better than most. Cowboy Bebop + Samurai Champloo are damn near perfect.

It's a lot like that with my family. They like something and I find out I hate it. It's not like I decided I hate it based off the fact they like it its just that personalities and tastes have grown to be opposites.

If you find a good anime, usually others made by the same people are also good. (Not always though). I've noticed that

I like
Konjiki no Gash Bell! (It's clever and hilarious)
DBZ (The show is below-average, but the manga rocks!)
Naruto (Love shows where it focuses on ONE PERSON, cept a few shows)
Prince of Tennis (If you like tennis)
Shaman King (Manga, never saw cartoon, cept on Fox Box, where it was SCREWED UP!)
Yu Yu Hakusho (Good strategies and twists)
Yu Gi Oh (I'm talkin about the manga! I loved these "Shadow Games" that Yugi did... but the card games were grotesque...)
One Piece (Show sucks, Manga rocks [I only saw it on Cartoon Network])

And Hitok1r1, you'll understand since you're japanese that there's these stupid American-made animes that are pure crap. Examples: Powerpuff Girls, Totally Spies, Teen Titans... how much did they pay a japanese person to sing the title song in japanese? lol!
Oh yeah, I can draw anime freehand and I do it in my free-time... but too bad I'm Korean...

i really don't watch it much, but every once in a while i do. the ones that i really did like were:

Cowboy Bebop - and yes the episode with the virus thingy in the fridge was awesome! this is a lot like Trigun but the characters are much cooler.
Samurai Champloo - created by same guys that created Cowboy Bebop, enough said lol. i love it how the characters don't give a monkey's uncle about other people!
Wolf's Rain - didn't watch too much of it, the storyline seemed kinda odd but very intriging. This was also created by the same guys that created Cowboy Bebop.
The characters in these three are different cuz they aren't goody tooshoos, and i love that.

ones that were ok were:

Rurouni Kenshin - swords are always fun
Trigun - futuristic with cool guns are always fun too
Yu Yu Hakusho - reminds me of DBZ but the characters are much cooler
Inuyasha - swords and demons, what more could you ask for? lol.
Case Closed - a good mystery anime, everyone loves mysteries!
Outlaw Star - futuristic with cool guns and cool characters, pretty sweet.

I like anime, the anime girls look very hot, sometimes hotter than real girls

Digimon:can agree with you about the first part of digimon.
Cardcaptors: good from what ive seen, not too much though.
shinchan: havent seen.
Inuyasha: was good for like the first 10 episodes, then got horrible.
bobobo: havent seen
Naruto: Great ANIME.
DBZ: Seen all but like 5 episodes... BIG MISTAKE!!! really bad series after the freeza saga.
Cowboy Bebop: RULEZ!!!
YuYu hakusho: good series.

I saw absolutely no unforseen twists after the freeza saga

Ghost in the shell is pretty good, but i didn't really like the second movie, the first one rocked though.


I was noticing that the other day too. I'm not japanese but i take it in school, so i can get a fair grip on whats going on. It annoys me to no end when they do that with subtitles.


Trigun is a great series
also, from what ive seen of wolf's rain it sucks. With the commercials they tryed to make it all look fast pace but in the show it really wasnt fast pace at all. i havent seen too much of it thoguh so oi might be wroung.

-FLCL: Great series... really short though
-.hack/sign: AVOID, at first it feels like its gonna pick up, and it keeps given you that feeling, but never really does pick up, until like the very last episode.
-whoever said miyasaki was on the ball
-Ranma 1/2 is pretty good.
-Ruroni Kenshin is a great series.
-Witch Hunter Robin: I liked what i saw, but i really haven't seen enugh to judge well
-Paranoia Detective: same as above
-Detective Kona(i.e. case closed) I really like this series, plus you can watch most episodes independent of eachother.
-Evangelion: Haven't seen, but have heard from several sources that it's great.
-Vampire Hunter D (movie)
-Akira(movie)
-Blood The last vampire (movie): was really short, onyl 45 minutes, but 45 minutes of brilliance. No real plot but it is a pretty good movie, rent but dont buy.
-Totoro (movie): Yes a kids movie, but its still pretty good.
-Tenchi Muyo: Saw it a long time ago so dont remember to well, although from what i do recall it was a good laugh.

The only anime shows i've really watched much were DragonBallZ, SailorMoon, and Pokemon.

I think anime is crap.

Mmm, forgot about Tenchi. The very few episodes of YuYuHakusho are a bit repeptitive with the angry-beat-1-inch-to-death thing, but whatever.

Hmm... while I was in Japan I saw part of an episode of a cartoon that sounds like it could be that.

For the most part bad diolog is a result of the translation / culture differances. Some anime has a very good storyline.
Anime is my bread and butter, or at least my cracker and mustered.

I loved Anime when I was young. On T.V it's getting more and more for kids. But I lvoe to see anime from Newgrounds.com. Always fun since it can't be made by a 9-Year-Old Kids.

Yeah , if you watch it on TV your going to see Kids stuff. Or censored anime.

I hated Trigun.

I like the stylistic anime. Most of the "anime" on like Cartoon Network is crap in my opinion, with the exception of Cowboy Bebop (and I do enjoy Trigun).

If anyone mentions Dragon Ball or one of its spinoffs we must lynch them.

I'm starting to lose my tolerance with Anime. I can't think of anything I hate worse, however, than watching American cartoons emulating Japanese style. It's just seems so ridiculous IMO.

Ghost in a Shell is the only anime I like watching lately, though. That and the first Ninja Scroll movie.

Don't you mean crap shows like Totally Spies, Teen Titans, Powerpuff Girls... it's crap. I bet they had to pay so much to japanese person to sing that theme song... either that, or they captured many ppl from asia and forced them to sing some song in their language (American ppl won't know it's japanese) or else they would die, and since so many died, they had to create a "big tsunami" where "many ppl died" and they used movie footage to put in the TVs...

rofl i used to watch pokemon...... that show is terrible...

Only the game was really good. It was one of my favorite RPGs...

teen titans isnt half bad, but i know what your talken about for all those other american "animes".

also, yes, the original pokemon games were awesome.
